It really is weird, isn’t it. That kiss with the little girl at the beginning totally freaked me out. I watched it this year to prep for the Coppola one, of course. It was fun discussing it with Kelly Wand.

I quite liked this movie, but I think Macon Blair is trying a little too hard to be wacky at certain moments. I’m confident he’ll figure out how to control that as a director, because I think he has good instincts. I love Melanie Lynskey, and I really liked Christine Woods.
