View of an obviously European town square by security-minded military types. Day of the Jackal.
Correct! Inspired to post it as this selection by Charmtrap’s offhand comment!
When I watched this the other day I was struck at how Zinnemann was influenced by Jean-Pierre Melville and Costa-Gavras. And The Battle of Algiers. Who says you can’t direct High Noon and then still evolve as a filmmaker? As well as what a tour de force it is for Edward Fox. And what a collectively outstanding supporting cast is in this one (f’rinstance Derek Jacobi in a quality minor role). Great film on multiple levels, still holds up today

Over to you, @Jason_Levine
Forsyth’s spy thrillers produced some good movies, even if he is, like a lot of spy thriller writers seem to be, a bit of a right-wing kook. I’ll have a new 20 up tonight.

I know it’s not but I have to guess it anyway. I Tonya?
Looks like Ellen Barkin, no clue what movie tho
I think it could be Barkin, but early Barkin. It obviously isn’t Diner, so I’ll run with Eddie and the Cruisers.
EDIT: BTW, Barkin in Diner. Barkin anywhere!. Rrrow!
The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension.
Buckaroo Bonzai it is!

“Lithium is no longer available on credit.”
No matter where you go, there you are.
I wouldn’t have recognized that if I hadn’t just watched that for the first time this past week. In a weird way, it was more grounded and low-key than I had expected?
I’ll have a new frame up tonight.
I refuse to answer this 20:20 because of the Tennessee Tophat.
How about Never Too Young to Die?

You know I did consider guessing the same since that looks like a young John Stamos, but then I thought ‘why would he pick this movie’
I refuse to answer this 20:20 because of the Tennesee Tophat and John Stamos.
Did you actually watch the whole thing? I feel you should be compensated.
