Ok I have a few in the hopper, lets shift genres a bit and see how this goes

Return to the 36th Chamber of Shaolin?

You have trained well, perhaps you are ready

40

60

80

And that’s it, for this 99 minute film.

I know I’m old when someone gets a movie I’ve never heard of on the first frame.

You are young at heart, Jason.

I keep telling myself that.

I mean the movie itself is from 1980, so perhaps it’s you are getting too young ;)

(Yes, I know the movie is older than I am)

A long, long time ago, I ordered a copy of “36th Chamber of Shaolin”, sometimes called, if I remember correctly, “Shaolin Master Killer”, on DVD. The box came, and I think it even had “36th Chamber” printed on the disc, but it was this movie, the sequel, that was actually the movie on the disc. I don’t remember much of it, except it wasn’t as good as the first movie. I especially don’t remember how that one guy in the first frame never had a boyfriend, or if he obtained one over the course of the film.

I’ll try to get a new frame up tonight.

He was imitating a woman in the village.

That makes a lot more sense.

Here’s the next foray.

The beloved screwball comedy Welcome to Twin Oaks?

The Postman Always Rings Twice?

Dang you Mr. Tibbs! Must you always beat me while I am typing elsewhere! :)

We both know you need to be getting your frames ready right now.

Haha, we both love grandpa movies! If I guessed correctly, I won’t be able to upload until after work, so I may have ruined this game for the time being. :(

Uh, that’s obviously a wrong guess. That 20:20 isn’t like anything my teenage brain remembers from The Postman Always Rings Twice.

Are you thinking of the sexy 80’s version starring Jessica Lange that Bob Rafelson directed for Lorimar? If I saw that as a teenager, it would probably take precedence in my memory over the post-war noir version, too!

Oooh, did I just troll you into thinking I didn’t know the Bob Rafelson remake* was a remake? Sweet! I still got it!

-Tom

* screenplay by a little known fella named David Mamet

I’ve successfully been trolled!

Ding-ding, ding-ding, it is indeed The Postman Always Rings Twice.

The 40:40: He’s Dead, Jim

The 60:60: Giant Head Uber Ride

The 80:80: Chrome Human Locks Eyes

The 100:100: Return to Welcome To Twin Oaks

I call you, MrTibbs, to go next.

Thanks, Djscman! John Garfield and Lana Turner are always awesome, and that’s one of my favorite noirs ever.

Here’s the new 20:20
