Well put. He really was a solid a collaborator with Anderson. And then came some personal problems, that I think might have impacted everything, that we really don’t know much about. We may see a second act for him in the arts; I think his talents may flourish again.

I’ll get something up in a few.

Well Powder my Wig, a new 20:20!

Incorrekubrick!

Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story?

Incorrecoogan!

The Olde English 800 (a Forty):

Mon Dieu. Depardieu. (And, man, he’s been in the news this week and for not good reasons).

Danton. More like Olde French.

Oui, c’est le film de Wajda. An atmosphere of paranoia and menace permeate the film. Wajda’s finest work IMO, evoking the situation in his native Poland while relating the Revolution’s descent into madness as “resistance to tyrants” and revolutionary fervor inevitably become merely an excuse to kill those who think differently than those in power.

Le Roger Maris (61*):

Le 1 Heure 21 Minutes et 20 Secondes:

Le Deux Siècles:

Le Rare D.C. (indicatif régional 202):

The Revolution is like Saturn: It devours its own children. Why must we - What fate propels us to condemn rather than forgive? Destroy rather than save? Why all this bloodshed? When, if ever, will it stop?

À toi @Woolen_Horde

You’re a funny guy Sully. I like you. That’s why I’m going to kill you last.

20:20

He lied.

Is that the Potomac, the Seine, or the Thames? Hmmm. Ronin?

Nope!

Actually it’s Prague. I don’t know what river.

Mission: Impossible?

P.S. I love the frame with the quote, “I want men beside me.”

P.P.S. A quick glance at the googledoc…hmm. Seems Woolen has a thing for the M:I movies.

The Vltava, and if you’re correct this would make it the Charles Bridge?

Clearly I spend too much time looking at maps and reading histories, and not enough watching movies, because I know those off hand, but would never have guessed it from the frame. Yet I knew those things off hand.
