Looks like some sort of post-apocalyptic version of Leaving Las Vegas.
No correct guesses so far!
Oh, sure, now you guess The Domestics. Where were you when I posted frames from The Domestics and lost???
-Tom
P.S. Ha ha, you saw The Domestics.
P.P.S. Ha ha, you saw a Kate Bosworth movie.

Ha ha, I did not, I just guessed because of you description of it on the podcast.
But I saw Kate Bosworth in Superman Returns, Homefront and the dumbest series I ever saw, The I-Land.
In what movie will you see this at the 80:80?

Hmm. Military vs hellbillies… is it The Hills Have Eyes 2 remake version?

I will award you half a point if you can square the 20:20 with any Hills Have Eyes movie! :)
In other words, no, it’s not The Hills Have Eyes 2.
-Tom
Bad Aussie Mad Max-themed Rehash III?

It’s been a while since I had seen THHE 2 but it was army vs the mutants, and I guess the plane cockpit could have been there…? Dunno.
I do know that you could get an STD just looking at the 40:40 image.
Weak! But I will give you half a point for this comment:
@dwinn is currently in the lead for guessing my movie with a half point! Go, dwinn, go!

Hey, Kate Bosworth is worth seeing. The movies she’s been in, not so much, I guess.
So I’m the only one here who’s seen The Osiris Child? It’s a spirited Australian sci-fi movie that I actually liked for the cast, the visuals, and an 80s-era script that combines space, space prison, space monsters, and a Mad Max style frontier populated by plucky roguish characters.
I brought it up recently because I like Kellan Lutz in it. Since it’s an ensemble movie, Lutz gets to hang out in the background a lot, brooding handsomely behind the lead character, who’s played by a guy named Handsome Lead Actor McAction Man. He actually gets kicked around a lot in Osiris Child, which is kind of funny since his last name is McAction Man. But I enjoyed Lutz in this for being the more downbeat character. Sullen Lutz. That’s his butt in the 80:80, as I’m sure most of you realize now. Lutz butt.
The director had done a not very good space marines movie called Infiniti, but I felt like he really hit his stride by letting the characters do the heavy lifting in The Osiris Child, and working with an interesting non-linear script with just enough surprises to make it worth following. I recommend Osiris Child if you’re in the mood for some plucky Australian sci-fi.
Oh, and the reason I watched it is because Bianca Bradey is in it! Little did I know she’s only got a tiny and thankless part as the barkeep in the tavern where the party gathers some new player characters before venturing forth. Bradey knocked my socks off in Wyrmwood:

But she barely registers in Osiris Child. Which is fine, since the rest of the cast is solid. Particularly their child actor.
Okay, thanks everyone for making me a loser. Let me see if I can find frames from something made in 1920 or whatever that maybe you guys will recognize. I’ll post them later today.
-Tom
In what movie will you see this at the 20:20 mark?
-Tom
Is that Jenny Agutter looking away from us in the atrocious Aussie horror flick, Dominique?
Of course it’s The Nest! Nicely spotted, @matttutor. It’s Carrie Coon unpacking in their new house, looking around the room for where to stash a box whose contents are unclear at that point in the movie.
The 40 and 60 are shots of Jude Law:
The 80:80 is a stunning shot of the divine Miss Coon, who’s never looked hotter than she does in The Nest:
And the 100:100 is heartbreaking if you’ve seen the movie:
I loved this movie. Absolutely loved it. It reminded me a lot of The Ice Storm and Shoot the Moon for various reasons. Amazing cast, including both children. Beautiful somber but glossy cinematography, as if if were from the pages of an old magazine. And writer/director Sean Durkin has a real talent for capturing the mundane moments of day-to-day life in fascinating detail, but with just the right amount of suggestion that something ominous is looming. This was even better than Martha Marcy May Marlene for me, because it was much more relatable.
Over to @matttutor!
-Tom
Yeah me! Have not seen that yet, but recognized Carrie Coon/movie look from trailer/promotional stuff.
Here is new 20. This will be win in 1 frame or never… Sometimes that is the way it is :)
Yeah, that;s close enough.
Anomalisa it is. A minor? oddball entry, even in Kaufman’s oddball oeuvre. Of course, worth watching, at the least.
