It’s the 20:20 Movie Frame Game of 2020!

Dude I totally thought that was the film itself, and to be frank, it still very well probably is. It’s a common theme in some movies to give it a near whitewash effect but colorize and oversaturate specific parts on the movie frames. “Put your focus here,” in big neon letters, so to speak.

My comment was a joke on the frame though, not of your screengrab, sir!

Navaronegun nabs the win! This was the first Christian Petzold film I’m a total fanboy now. Nina Hoss plays a Auschwitz survivor in Berlin after it’s been devastated by the war and I think it’s one of the best screen performances of the 21st century. It’s a confronting, brilliantly executed piece of genre filmmaking that explores a personal betrayal. I will avoid spoilers for those who haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing it yet, but suffice to say you can expect echoes of Vertigo and a spellbinding ending. It’s a perfect movie.
