So it’s been a while since I’ve won one of these… Am I being an idiot or is it no longer possible to take screenshots from prime video and Netflix? Tried the iPad and laptop and I’m only getting black screens.

So Netflix I can, but only from the desktop Chrome browser.

All my former workarounds for iOS no longer work.

Prnt screen w Prime on pc.

Yes same for Netflix in chrome desktop

I had that issue on PC one day with Chrome and tried a different browser(Firefox), things worked there. So I restarted Chrome … fixed. No clue what was up, either.

For the iPad, can’t help you there.

Weird, i used to print screen from either browser without a problem, but neither Netflix nor Prime video were working from Chrome today. Got both services working now in Firefox and tried movies from both, but the quality is rather appalling, so apologies for that.

Take the Call!?

Unstoppable?

Not sure if that’s a movie, but spoiler: he or she does take the call.

Not Unstoppable

Battleship?

Captain Phillips?

That’s it. Can’t say I enjoyed that one, part of the reason might be the 2+ hours running time.

You’re the captain now, @Skipper

I have two skiffs approaching with armed intruders, potential piracy situation.

It wasn’t a bad flick, yeah the last third of the movie drug out though. I will say this, Tom Hanks is one hell of an actor and the scene of him going into post-stress shock with the corpsman once back on the Navy ship was … real. I’ve seen that look and heard that kind of routine. Believable for sure.

A new 20 here in a bit.

That sure brings me back, @crispywebb!

Literally. That was an actual corpsman, and not an actor. Paul Greengrass just had her improv with Tom Hanks for that last scene. Almost made the previous two hours worthwhile!

A new (old) 20 emerges …

I believe it. It felt and looked real. The real corpsman was a little stiff calling her lines a couple of times but she was all business and trying to calm a -real enough- person down after a traumatic event. It was a deeply impacting scene.

Said scene:

Fried Green Tomatoes?
