The Second Official Musical Guess of a film title in the Twenty Twenty Game:

Distinctive way to guess and immediate answer. I like it, Mr. Gun.

Nothing needs to be said here, in going through the failings of QT3 selections, like you, I’ve spotted quite few misses. We all remember this, and most of us, where we were and under what influences we were at the time.

The 80:

I only came here to do two things, kick some ass, and drink some beer. Looks like we’re almost outta beer, @Navaronegun.

New frames when the sun comes up on the most important coast - the coast where the sun comes up first.

I was kind of sad not a single frame had Mr. McConaughey, but movies are sometimes like that. What we remember from them is such a small part of the movie itself.

I love that the 40 and 60s look like the movie is still in the same conversation with Marissa Ribisi, Anthony Rapp, and the Hebrew Hammer.

“I just want to dance!”

I kinda thought the same seeing the screens. “Really, is that much of this movie that car scene?” It’s not, but still.

This Twenty is wasting your time.

The Forty:

I think we’re bookending?

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

CLIP IS ABSOLUTELY NSFW!!!

THE CARS FREAKING ROCK!!!

We’re bookending in theme and movie type as well, though this is a contemporary (at the time) ensemble high school coming of age film with great music and a phenomenal cast.

The Twenty has Judge Reinhold’s ass facing us as he washes his badass wheels to “Raised on Radio” by The Ravyns. Rat (Brian Backer) is looking away from us in The Forty, showing gentlemanly respect to Stacy as she (Jennifer Jason Leigh) is changing her blouse, but a picture of her (cut out of frame) and her brother, Brad (Judge), is in the lower right corner; a clever clue in-frame.

The Sixty:

The Eighty (aka "Double-Rrow!):

“Why are you continuously late for this class, @Skipper? Why do you… shamelessly waste my time like this?”

“I just couldn’t make it on time, Mr. Hand.”

The Phoebe Cates scene gave me an infatuation with her that lasts to this day (and millions of other folks too.) What’s more easily forgotten but -shouldn’t- be, is the Moving In Stereo backtrack to that scene by The Cars. In fact, the whole movie is filled with little snippets of great songs.

Waiting until noon-ish for the next 20.

RIP Mr. Ocasek. They paved the path for 80s sound.

A new 20 longs for the sea …

Welcome to the Jungle?

Negative, Ghost Rider. It is not that movie, nor song. Rock on, however.

Gomorra?

It is not Gomorra(h.) Good guess based on the look of that screenshot, however.

The Peanut Butter Falcon

I believe that is indeed the insufferable, untalented LaBeouf to the right.
