In what movie will you see this at the 40:40?

Ah, based off these two frames, I can tell that this film is definitely the classic Yelling To Each Other In Dingy Rooms.

Is that Galaxy of Terror?

It is indeed Galaxy of Terror, a godawful Roger Corman Alien rip-off from 1981. It’s infamous for a scene in which a giant worm attacks a lady and rips her clothes off, which was part of Corman’s mandate that all movies must have boobies no matter what.

It’s also kind of famous for its movie poster, which is kind of cool in a weird colorful way:

I love how it looks like a 10th grader attempting Frank Frazetta. Of course, nothing from that poster is in the actual movie. You certainly won’t see that color palette. As an Alien rip-off, everything is dark or dun.

Here’s Happy Days’ Erin Moran in the 60:60, aghast that her career has come to this:

She plays the crew psychic. All the characters get killed by the evil planet – even the movie’s title is a lie – making their worst fears come true. Since she’s claustrophobic, she gets crushed later in the movie. It’s also got Eddie Albert, Robert Englund shortly before he becomes superfamous as Freddie Kruger, Sid Haig as a religious zealot with a cool crystalline throwing star, and a special shout out to Grace Zabriskie as the captain for really committing to her part. It’s almost worth watching just for how seriously Zabriskie takes the whole thing. She’s awful, but good lord, is she trying!

There is no 80:80, because Corman had other pictures to churn out.

Over to @Soren_Hoglund and thanks for sparing me the indignity of a loss! If no one recognized Joanie in the 80, I was going to be in trouble!

It’s not good, but it certainly isn’t the worst sci-fi/fantasy Corman joint I’ve seen. But that scene is…a lot.

Anyway, in what movie will you see this at the 20:20?

40:40

Zero Theorem?

Mute?

Neither Zero Theorem nor Mute.

Scott Pilgrim?

Nope.

This 60:60 should help clarify things:

Virtuosity?

@anonymgeist knows his trashy 90:s sci-fi - it’s indeed Virtuosity

80:80

100:100

Over to you.

Funny that Denzel doesn’t grace any of those frames. You’d expect him to be in at least one of them. ;)

I knew that smiley face in the 20:20 looked familiar. The purple suit was a dead giveaway though. No mistaking that.

The new 20:20!

That is the 20:20 from the horror movie The Painful Crossfade!

Little Shop of Horrors?

Just saw this. I presume it was in my queue because of this thread. Anyway, one thing I really like about the movie is that she basically does everything right. There’s maybe one moment where she does the usual dumb victim thing, and maybe one more where she is foiled by an understandable mistake. But in the remaining two dozen or so decision points, she does the sensible thing! And it still works as a horror movie. See, horror writers! You don’t need to have your characters be dumb!
