The Fog of War. That’s from the section detailing the firebombing of Tokyo when McNamara recalled crunching the numbers for Curtis Lemay.

Yup. Errol Morris’ Academy Award-winning documentary, which entirely consists of Robert McNamara talking about his role in World War II and Vietnam For some reason I rewatched this for the first time since it came out. It’s still haunting and disturbing.

The 20:20 is actually from footage of a nuclear bomb test. That next frame the flash from the explosion completely washes blinds the camera for a few seconds. But that’s really haunting, as you can see the plasma fireball forming.

It reminds me of these, actual photos taken milliseconds after an A-bomb detonation.

This Twenty is blatantly obvious.

I’m 70% sure that’s The Waterboy.

The Forty:

The Sixty:

The Eighty:

“My @Matt_W says that alligators are ornery because they got all them teeth and no toothbrush.”

Is that Rounders?

Waiting for Guffman?

Oh shoot, sorry I totally forgot that I won. I’ll get something up soon.

Just a random gif but could honestly be that for all I know.

Sorry for the delay. Here is a 20:

The 40 arrives:

Nomadland?

Damnit. How did I miss that?!?

Indeed yes it is Chloe Zhou’s masterpiece about transient communities. Natural lighting, non-actors, and still a moving profound piece of work:

60:60

80:80

100:100

Take it away @anonymgeist!

I loved it. God just the scenery of places she went contrasted with the solitude and sometimes desolation. It was moving in a way that surprised me.

I loved it as well. I think I preferred The Rider, but besting that is a tall order.

And the new 20:20 appears!

Nothing? Well, maybe the 40:40 will jog someone’s memory.
