I suspect this one will go very quickly, even with the frame squishing. If not, I shall endeavour to get a proper aspect ratio for the next one.

The Man Who Wasn’t There?

Hole in one!

I was going to guess The Man Who Wasn’t There, but it’s already been done, so I didn’t.

-Tom

I guess that’s why he wasn’t there. Very good ruse, @Ginger_Yellow, while you prep the real 2020.

I searched for it, I swear. I saw a wrong guess, but no actual post.

I wonder if the post is still even around? According to the Google list at the top of the thread, Man Who Wasn’t There was one of the very first movies we did, and I suspect it’s buried in some long long thread from years and years ago, maybe even from before the movie itself was made!

By the way, while you guys are checking the Google doc, look who got the Man Who Wasn’t There when it was originally posted.

Oooh, and a fun bit of trivia! If you CTL+F to search for your name, you can see how many times it occurs, which is also how many times you’ve won by guessing frames. My score is 126 as “tom chick” and 102 as “tomchick” for a grand total of…226 points!

-Tom

EDIT: Wait, that’s not accurate, because I know there are several times when I posted frames that no one guessed, which means I lost and my name would have occurred twice in a row when I had to post frames from another movie to keep the game going. I don’t know of any easy way to weed this out without manually counting, so I’m just going to pat myself on the back for having a score in excess of 200 points!

My record is 47-3. Everyone else gets a foul for not knowing Sunset Song or Lady Macbeth, but with Netflix’s Bad Trip the referee keeps the flag in his pocket and says, “Play on.” Still, that’s a pretty good prank movie.

It took 2,619 different entries until the movie that has always been known as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was posted.

My personal favorite game moment was when Dingus correctly guessed Crossroads from this 2020 screen:

My personal proudest moment on the forum: Why doesn't the year 2015 have it's own 20:20 thread? Well, it does now! - #1083 by anonymgeist

Another black and white movie, another easy to recognise frame:

That looks an awful lot like Roma: one of my favorite films. I could’ve sworn we’ve done it before, but I don’t see it in the list.

It is Roma and it’s not on the list.

Such a gorgeous film. I guess that means I have to come up with a new 2020 :P

I was going to guess one of the earlier Herbie movies because there’s a VW bug in the background. Surely the Herbie movies are old enough that some of them were black-and-white.

-Tom

I do believe @Ginger_Yellow owes us some more frames from Roma, and @Matt_W owes us a new 2020.

So sorry. Here’s a new 2020

ID4? If yes, I think this is on the list

Like the thread says, that looks like the 20:20 Movie Frame [from The] Game.

Yes, you’ve won the game with The Game! It’s a 90’s era Michael Douglas and Sean Penn film which I liked quite a bit in the day. Is it a game? Is it real?
