Okay. So I was a little late on my two hours.

20:20

The Witch

The VVillage

The VVrucible

You got it @Nightgaunt.

The 40:40

The 60:50

The 80:80

I can only win this thing when the film is really obvious and my timing is supremely lucky. Thanks, marquac!

This’ll probably go quickly. In what film would you see this at 20:20?

Is that Ed Begley Jr? Is that Ghostbusters: Answer the Call?

Jane Lynch behind him, maybe? I’m going to go with Mascots.

Wow! I mean, getting Mascots from Ed Begley is pretty good, but recognizing Jane Lynch’s hair is real damn good! I was so happy she was hiding a bit in that shot, and thought it might buy me a frame.

Nice job, baren!

40:40

60:60 (Of all the weirdo random mascots in the movie, the clam was my favorite)

80:80 (Basically this shot is Christopher Guest’s John Hancock all over the screen)

I decided to hop in the wayback machine for the next selection. What movie has this as the 2020?

That obviously Dwayne Johnson in a fat suit in the driver’s seat. So I’m going to guess Central Intelligence.

-Tom

Nothing intelligent in this movie.

4040:

I suppose that wasn’t very helpful. Perhaps one of these handsome mugs will stand out in your memory.

6060:

Still nothing, eh? This is the last frame, peoples. Don’t let me down here.

8080:

I guess I lose. How disappointing.

The movie in question is Lucio Fulci’s Zombie, which is also known as Zombie 2, for reasons. It features an amazing scene of a zombie fighting a shark.

I’ll post something easier tonight. Sheesh. Lightweights.

This is a classic case of the frames not pointing at ANYTHING that’s helpful.
ETA: Well, that’s probably unfair. I’m mostly mad at not recognizing it.

Yeah, now that you’ve told us what it is, I can see the 70s Italian production values oozing from every frame. Still, without any actual zombies, sharks, or recognizable actors in the frames, that’s a tough one.

-Tom

Jaysus. That Fulci does like his gore close-ups doesn’t he?

All right. Let’s see if you guys can pierce the veil of secrecy on this 2020:

(I’m kidding, of course. I know there are some much deeper horror aficionados here than me. It’s rather surprising how a gore-heavy movie like Zombie managed to dance around the timecodes we use for the game.)

Scream.
