I watched it again recently, for the first time since the 90s. It… doesn’t hold up well. I’m sure everyone already knew this. But the screenwriter’s movie fixation is allowed to dribble out through every single character in the script. No one has their own personality. Instead of being a story, it’s a not-terribly-interesting puzzle.
