The Exorcist, right?

Yes, it’s The Exorcist. The perfect movie for post-dinner Christmas viewing.

We play it as it lies here in the movie frame game.

Looks like The Birds

It certainly does! But this is not The Birds.

Vertigo?

OMG, The Exorcist! That’s why the guy in the 40 looks familiar! He’s the priest who gets fitted with the camera for that shot where the camera rides down with him as he falls. I might – might! – have gotten it if I’d looked a little closer and noticed the priest collar. Rats!

What’s going on in the 120? I don’t recall a gas station scene.

Abiding Dude, the problem with a guess for The Birds is that the iconic scene of Tippi Hedren getting pecked doesn’t happen till late in the movie. Otherwise, that would have been my guess as well.

-Tom

It’s just a quick shot of people running over from the gas station after Father Karras throws himself out the window.

Ah, that’s hilarious! I never would have recalled there’s a gas station across the street from those steps!

-Tom

Yeah that’s why I didn’t have the courage to guess without the “looks like” qualifier.

After some IMDB sleuthing I know of a movie that has “The Birds” being shown on a TV around the 20 minute mark. I’ll refrain from guessing for now. It’s still not clear what the rules for guessing are. Are we allowed to google or imdb to investigate our guess?

Well, the idea was supposed to be you get one guess per frame, and that you can use reference material, but don’t “Google image search” the frame. The idea was also supposed to be that you post one frame a day to let more people play, but that’s gone by the wayside for some folks, no reason not to guess away!

-Tom, former rules police

Ooh, and given your post, I think I know what you’re getting at! Is the movie Hitchcock, the biopic with Anthony Hopkins? If so, I’m happy to give Abiding Dude the win. If not, I’m also happy to blame him for a wrong guess.

-Tom

As you wish, Mr Former Police. My guess then would be the [removed name pending posting next frames]. But after looking at the scene in the 20:20 mark, they show a scene from The Birds but not that specific shot. So I suspect I will have the pleasure of being wrong twice and thus doubly earning your heartfelt derision and scorn!
