Ahem. I would like to direct you to these frames:

That said, notable because unlike most films I didn’t have to strain my 40-something eyes trying to make things out.

A joyous exception.

Just a hallmark of the age, I guess. We have these cool, high-quality cameras and lenses that are capable of filming in lower light than was previously possible, and we play them back on cheap flat-screens that aren’t capable of displaying them properly.

Example: Hereditary…scenes that were really creepy and impactful in the theater were nigh-indecipherable at home.

In which movie will you find this 2020:

Dammit. I had a haha Star Wars pick teed up.

I believe you still have seven live action Star Wars movies to choose from that have never been used for this game!

4040 (Beru!):

6060:

8080:

100100:

Over to you, @Soren_Hoglund.

I believe the proper answer is Fuck Star Wars, but Soren still gets to choose.

Well, after The Rise of Skywalker I certainly agree with that, but @crispywebb posted one of the good ones, so I eexercised some restraint.

Anyway, here’s a new 20:20:

That must be Raw Ore, the prequel to Uncut Gems.

It is not.

The 40:40

No guesses? And the 60:60 is the one where this one gets real hard:

The Last Boy Scout

The season and the Bruce Willis Unreliable Hairline Chronometer factor lead me to guess Die Hard 2

All I remember from that film is the fucking batshit opening, haha!

It’s the season of Satan-claus and The Last Boyscout!

The 80:80 is just another shot of Willis:

Even if it was a famous production mess and Wayans and Willis really, really hated each other, I like it a lot. I kinda have a notion to rewatch every Shane Black Christmas movie (but I repeat myself) over the holidays.

Over to you @Woolen_Horde

Yeah, that movie is utterly forgettable except for that opening.

New movie at 5 PM Best Coast Time.

SURFS UP, PAL!

It was the height of Bruce Willis snark acting. Probably green-lit because of his popularity. It wasn’t horrible though. But around the same time was Hudson Hawk, however …

20:20

Spy Game?

I was thinking this was going to make the 60:60. Yes, Spy Game. It’s bizarre coincidence that we have two Tony Scott movies in a row. I had already queued up Spy Game frames a couple days ago.

40:40

60:60

80:80 Catherine McCormick makes an appearance. I always really liked her, but she never really took off.

100:100

120:120

I hadn’t watched this movie in more than a decade. This is such a great movie, too. And I had no idea that Stannis the Mannis was in it, in a pretty substantial role, too! I also learned that Brad Pitt turned down Jason Bourne to do Spy Game!
