How do I not even remember this scene?
We’re all getting very old.

Fortunately, so is Sly Stalone.

Eye of the Tiger, @Woolen_Horde . Eye of the Tiger.
It’s weird to think that Rocky’s son-in-law is Max Fisher.

I think that’s a woman’s head and not a ninja. So i’ll go with Gone Girl
That looks familiar, but I got nothin.

Teen Spirit?
(I have nieces. They watch too many movies.)
“Nieces.” Sure.
Yes, Teen Spirit. From the son of the director who brought you The English Patient and The Talented Mr. Ripley comes Teen Spirit. Max “I was in The Social Network” Minghella takes after his late father in his directorial debut. It’s predictable, with a couple small surprises, but it also feels like there was 20-30 minutes cut-out of the middle. And I’ll give Elle Fanning props for taking challenging roles, working with interesting directors, and not signing-up for the franchise machine that is Hollywood, but could she please get a role that requires something than just standing with a blank look on her face.

So while on vacation last week my oldest niece was watching this one afternoon. Being the disinterested uncle, I was disinterested. Then, while also talking to me during the movie and not paying attention TO the movie, she turned to me to give me a random factoid: “Did you know Elle Fanning sang her parts for this move?” Me: “Elle Fanning is in this?”
And just like that I got sucked in. Fuck. At least the movie wasn’t bad, it was actually okay. I agree with you though, that woman is bound for Oscar notables and this role seems … not her.
I blame Neon Demon. Refn directed everyone to act detached in that, but shake out of it!
But, hey, at least Teen Spirit also has Rebecca Hall.
