Well not that tempted. I’m excited to vote for Mayor Pete, they are 2 Senators and Gov. who are fine as a backup candidates if he drops out by April.

Well he got momentum with like 30% support, because everyone else was spread among 6 other people.
If it had been him head-to-head with Rubio, we’d be bitching about President Rubio’s tax policies.

We could see Bernie get a lead because his followers are similarly dedicated, even if he himself can’t muster more than 25%.

I don’t think anyone in the Dem clown car except possibly Gabard could be 1/100th as bad as Trump. Just saying clown-carness in itself does not necessarily doom a party in the general.

Today Biden re-asserted his support for the Hyde Amendment. (The Hyde Amendment, in brief: no federal funds for abortion except in matters of serious health or to save the mother.)

That seems – on the surface – like it could be the start of his downfall within the primary process. Already the normally establishment-leaning Emily’s List has come out against him pretty strongly as a result of what feels like a pretty huge unforced error here.

But this is really interesting. Not too long ago it was tier 1: Biden + Bernie, tier 2: Buttigieg, tier 3: Warren, Harris, Beto.

Now we have tier 1: Biden, tier 2: Bernie, Buttigieg, Warren, tier 3: Harris.

Pretty big shift too. Those numbers at the top are getting smaller and this thing is spreading out. Looks like when the messaging and introductions really move at full speed we’ll see something even different, and Biden better watch out.
