Ah, great. Now seeing that in multiple tweets.
If we can get Beto to run in Texas and get Bullock to run against Daines in Montana…
He is going to destroy Gardner.
I know some progressives have their panties in a bunch about Hick… But he was an excellent Governor and paved the way for Dems to dominate Colorado. I wish he was more liberal on some issues, but the fact of the matter is that middle-right Republicans like him, and he is going to do a good job of taking from Gardner’s rural base. He is also going to crush Gardner in the suburbs (which carried Gardner 6 years ago as he played himself as a moderate). Hick has made Republicans in this state comfortable voting for Democrats.
Hopefully this allows Colorado to keep a gradual move to the left, so in 6 - 12 years we can have more progressives in national office.
Yeah, I got no problem with Hickenlooper’s centrist leanings as it seems to play well in his home state. MUCH rather have him than Gardner. If Hickenloper wins, he’ll be a reliable vote on important stuff when needed.
Yep. And people need to understand he is a liberal and a geologist by trade. This isn’t a Manchin situation. He is just very pragmatic
Heck, I have a hard time imagining a Democrat any further to the left of Joe Manchin being elected senator in West Virginia…and for as much as Manchin’s shit drives me crazy sometimes, something tells me his unique brand of crazy is better than the alternative.
Honestly, I think MJ Hegar has a better chance of defeating Cornyn than Beto. I know I’m not the only one who supported Beto Senate run, and has been underwhelmed by his Presidential run.
Frankly, it he couldn’t defeat the widely loath Cruz, I don’t know how defeats the much more popular Cornyn. Although, I’d make the same argument about MJ Hegar, I wish she had run again for Congress, instead of thinking that defeat in political race was a ticket to run for a higher office.

It’s going to be more dangerous EVEN THAN OBAMA.
To be fair, the election of Mr. Obama did fire up the insane/white supremecist/facist right. And here we are. Thanks Obama!
Beto here is simply wrong. The impediment to sensible gun laws is in the Senate, where Republicans block any attempt to regulate guns and control the makeup of the judiciary to maintain a gun-friendly legal regime. If Beto were by some miracle to get the nomination and then win the WH while Cornyn gets re-elected to the Senate, it’s quite likely that Beto will be able to do nothing at all about guns. On the other hand, if Beto beat Cornyn and another Dem won the WH, movement is probably possible.
Maybe he can’t beat Cornyn, but he’s wrong that the presidency is the only thing that matters.
Honestly, where Dems could REALLY use a good candidate is North Carolina. And Georgia. And Montana, if that good candidate is Bullock.
Well this might be getting interesting now
I’m not surprised. Warren is far and away the best campaigner of the bunch, with the clearest niche, the best-articulated platform and a personal style that seems to connect with the voters she actually meets or interacts with. She’s tailor-made for Iowa, and very good anywhere else.

hope its not a fluke, hope its not a fluke
I’m fine with Warren being the nom. She’s a smart operator who has a track record of working for the average american.

I just hope enough American voters in the states that count will be willing to cast their vote for a smart and capable woman this time around.
Jennifer Rubin still desperately hoping to save the GOP
Here is my favorite quote:
Sanford wouldn’t be called out as a liberal wolf in sheep’s clothing, as former Massachusetts governor Bill Weld (who is pro-choice, pro-gay rights and pro-environment) would.
So to be a conservative, you need to be “anti-environment”? I mean, I know you do, but to hear it implied so directly, even by one of the ‘good’ Republicans, is striking.
‘Mark Sanford could save the GOP’ is one scorching hot take.

Seriously. How thin is your bench when Mr. “Hiking the Appalachian Trail” is your best bet?

For some reason, I worry that Warren would get chewed up by Trump. I feel like she wouldn’t be able to just play the bullshit popularity game like he can.
I feel like Harris or Pete would do better against him.
Biden is gonna be a bad pick.
