Don’t worry, DJT still has his ace in the hole ‘Pocahontas’ card for her.

Trump & co. all believe Biden would be their worst possible opponent, hence their obsession with him. They think Warren will be a pushover.

They’re quite wrong, but then again they’re not very bright.

Trump seems to be convinced that he’s a political genius, since he wasn’t supposed to win in 2016. He’s wrong, of course, but I guess that’s hardly the biggest thing he’s wrong about.

Yep… they believe that “The Dems are radical socialists” will stick to Warren, but it’s hard to make that case if Biden is the nominee. So they needed a different tactic for Biden.

Folks have been saying, “You can’t just run against Trump. The democrats need something more!”

I think that the democrats can run against Trump. I think that “I’m not Trump” is a winning message at this point.

Clinton almost won with a case of, “Lots of you hate me, but hey, I’m not Trump.”

She won the popular vote with that, and barely lost the election… and that was back in 2016, when a ton of idiots thought that Trump was going to magically turn into a prince after winning.

At this point, we all know that Trump isn’t changing. He’s the least popular president I can recall. He’s been under water in the polls for literally his entire presidency.

Running on a platform of “I’m not Donald Trump” is in fact enough to win, I think. Especially if you can avoid any kind of heavy baggage like Biden has.

That limit is pedophile. Roy Moore would have won easily if he wasn’t a pedo.

I agree but you did need to avoid a lot of baggage. I think Bernie=socialist is some serious baggage, and there is certainly a decent chance that Biden will end up with baggage, despite reality being the opposite. I didn’t realize until today that prosecutor that we were trying to get rid of was actually sheltering the company that Hunter Biden was working for. So in fact Biden was trying to make things worse for his son not better.

If Warren can continue being a happy candidate, I think she’ll do ok.
However, at this point I’m rooting for Trump to being impeached an on trial by next Nov.

Amen, brother.

If you are impeached does the Secret Service still protect you and your family for the rest of your life? Probably, right? Does the secret service protect you in jail?

Imagine being one of the guys that has to protect Trump after impeachment. Guaranteed it will be punishment duty.

Imagine being unfortunately distracted and looking the other way.

At that point it would be the secret services duty to ensure that Trump doesn’t flee the country. Imagine taking asylum in Russia to avoid prison time.

I have been telling my wife for a while now that I expect to wake up some morning to discover Trump and all his relatives (except Tiffany–they won’t call her) have boarded a plane for some country that doesn’t extradite. North Korea, anyone?

Kim would get tired of him in under a month and shoot them all with AA guns.

Win win.

3 U.S.C. § 102 Former Presidents Act, which defines the benefits to which a former President is entitled:

(f) As used in this section, the term “former President” means a person–

(1) who shall have held the office of President of the United States of America;

(2) whose service in such office shall have terminated other than by removal pursuant to section 4 of article II of the Constitution of the United States of America; and

(3) who does not then currently hold such office.

So the grift would end? No more paying for the Secret Service to be overcharged at his properties?

Who would determine how the protection is done? I’m assuming that would be under the jurisdiction of the current president.

If I was the Dem president, I’d be like, we’re not paying for anything ridiculous, and if you’re arrested, we’ll just send the secret service to be special prison guards in your new residence.

I wonder if he loses his pension also. You know that will piss Trump off.

I know this completely idiotic of us to discuss a post-impeachment Trump, but what’s the harm in a little fantasy.

Secret Service wouldn’t provide protection for a President that was removed from office due to impeachment. However, for those who aren’t, they now fall under DHS which is a cabinet department (under the Executive branch). While a sitting President would ostensibly be at the top of the proverbial food chain because they’re in charge of the cabinet, they wouldn’t be directly making the protection or funding decisions.
