Warren has one fatal flaw. She occupies a lot of Bernie’s space, and the progressive branch of the party is determined to put beating the establishment over their preferred best candidate. They’ve decided Bernie is more electable, and only death or indictment will change that.
Some of this fatal flaw is because she’s a woman, and has some unfair things put onto her due to that, but progressives are all in on electable progressive first, and that’s the old man with charisma, not the wonk with substance.
Warren is the spare- but she’s in a good position to be a compromise candidate the progressives will accept.

Yep. Bernie is going to be a hard pill for much of the party to swallow. Some mini-polls at 538 have indicated that he’s the candidate with the highest entrenched opposition within the party. For various reasons, there are more “anybody other than _____” dems than for anyone else (well, except Gabbard, but I can’t imagine her being relevant).
Warren doesn’t have the base that Bernie does, but I don’t think anyone hates her.
Caveat to the below: It’s a tiny sample size, and I probably thought it’s useful only because it comports with what I already thought:

To me, Warren is Bernie but with actual policy proposals that economists debate over whether they could work or not, Bernie is just ideas, and Pete is younger with a “Ditto”
I give no fucks about electability worries with Warren, she kicks ass, has real policies that benefit the Middle class, and doesn’t take corporate money.
She is what Trump sold himself as (economy wise) to middle America, and you bet she has some people scared.
She should have ran in 2016.

You should give fucks about that.
But in a world where Barack Hussein Obama is succeeded by Donald J. Trump, what can any of us say with any confidence about who is “electable”?

How are you guys thinking of ‘electability?’
There are many ways to approach that. I think many people use it as a synonym for charisma, or who can stand up to Trump in a debate, or maybe their demographics. To me, it’s much narrower: Who beats Trump in swing-state polls. Before deciding whether Warren or Mayor Pete or Eric Swalwell is the the most electable, I need polls in MI, WI, PA, FL, CO, NV, etc.
(just kidding about Swalwell!)
I like him too, he was my rep before I moved last month. I think he has no chance in the crowded field, though. But I also think he’d make a good president.
Although, spoiler alert, like Klobochar and Harris, he was a prosecutor.
Hey prosecutors are badass, or so I learned watching Billions
You think Pete is in the same camp as Warren and Sanders?
They mean that she’s a girl.
Me, too. It’s a stupid response. Either you have a good argument for why convicts should lose their right to vote or you don’t, but they just do ain’t it.
In truth, he’s just avoiding offending centrist white voters who are frightened of brown scary men voting. He’s triangulating.
This, however…this I can get behind:

The history of Felony Disenfranchisment is long, fairly complicated and dwells at the intersection of states’ rights and 14th Amendment and. The question before a potential President is not whether, in theory, prisoners should vote, but whether states have the right to limit that right.
There’s no way to address all that in this context. It’s a lot harder to really explain this issue than Bernie’s simple statement that he’s for it.
If I ran for president, my platform would consist of “Radiohead is overrated,” “Dexter should have ended with Season 4,” and “Tony Stark was right (but his methods were deplorable),” with the tagline “Don’t @ Me.”
No. He lost my vote. “OK Computer” no question. There is no subjectivity to this, no agreeing to disagree, not interested to have that conversation.
I mean, next he’ll try to claim that Foolish is a better album than On The Mouth.
