Maybe you guys can assist with an annoying problem I encountered yesterday. Since I was running out of room on my C: drive on my Win XP box, I decided to my my music folder to a roomier hard drive. I then pointed iTunes to the new location. However, my music isn’t showing up any more. What am I doing wrong?
Assuming you meant above that you decided to move your music folder, that would be the problem. Changing the directory setting just means that iTunes will store new stuff there (podcasts, rips, iTunes downloads etc), but your existing catalog is still pointed at the old location. You’ll need to use File/Add Folder to Library to re-import the old songs in their new location.
