TERF kids series: Men-Free Wee
Hoo boy.
Look, she didn’t mean to make an incredibly stupid tweet to feed her prejudice and ego so everyone is wrong for persecuting her with their criticism. The fact she doesn’t appologize and still stands by her self described accidental angry tweet also means that any criticism of her is a witch hunt.
Man, she really covers herself in glory every time she doubles down, doesn’t she.
[yes, it’s THAT Ed Wood]
Man, I didn’t know JK had tits that big. Tweet nudes or GTFO
The three women who wrote the article that JK decided to use her megaphone to ridicule for using accurate and inclusive language, I mean fuck them because they are clearly part of the trans agenda, right? I mean they aren’t beloved and cherished children’s authors, just lowly academics and public policy workers, so who cares if their work and their names are put before a huge audience by someone with an agenda to be publicly mocked at the very least. They are clearly standing in the way of the noble goal of creating safe spaces for women, which the pure intention behind the tweet to begin with, and anyone who mocked her crass ridiculousness clearly is also against.
JK is simply standing up for women, I mean not those women, but women like her. Mainly, her.
Wee Free Men is pretty trans as it is. Also, it’s probably good info to point out the tweet in question was her one about “people who menstruate” just to keep things on track for those who didn’t read the article.
I heard that in addition to wanting a man-free wee, JK wants to distinguish between menstruation and manstruation. I haven’t confirmed that independently though.
TERF war came to New Zealand, and it was a win against TERF. It was a waste of tomato juice to pour it on Posie Parker, we get better use giving it to hungry or thirsty people.
As a dude I tend to give support to the trans cause rather than protesting, lest those “feminists” accuse me (or other men) as example of men trying to silence women. Let other women tell them how wrong they are, by the thousands.
This is so weird and borderline as far as forum rules that I’m just going to spoiler the whole thing.
TLDR: TERFs are saying women’s genitals are actually trans. Because reasons. When women respond otherwise, they say that no, they are wrong. Women are women, unless they don’t look right in some way, then they’re not women, they’re secret trans agents or something. It’s been a thing for a while, but now it’s reached the Insane in the Membrane, level usually reserved for Ancient Aliens or the Illuminati.
This would be a kind of anachronism. Maybe only if Tolkien was an American who adapted Peter Jackson’s movies into the books then later studied critical race theory.
Orcs not being “settled” was probably a regret, but it never had anything to do with skin color.
Well, there is this.
Anyway, 27 days is a long to time drag this topic up.
The topic has very much moved on. If you want to discuss this at length, perhaps start a new topic.
P&R moves at light speed. Who cares.
I do. It’s bad form to pick out comments from almost a month ago on a tangent that has nothing to do with the topic being discussed.
It’s especially bad form to do so for, what can only be categorized as ‘internet points’.
I don’t give a fuck about internet points but if it bothers you so much we can derail the thread to talk about it. I’d rather not.
You really shouldn’t. I’ve been on lots of forums that had a “respond within a few hours or you’ve lost your chance” mentality over the years and they all sucked. It just ends up giving control over discussion to a small handful of the most hardcore people who hang on the forum all day every day. If QT3 starts going that way, I’ll be out. Which will make me sad considering I’ve been hanging around here 20+ years.
A few hours vs multiple weeks is a huge distinction.
Especially when that remarks is just some snide remark.
Honestly, if the response was of any value, it might have been an interesting jumping off point for a topic on its own.
Amen. It is really not a burden to not read something, which is what I did re: the Tolkein post. It took me exactly zero seconds to not read it.
A few hours vs multiple weeks is a huge distinction.
It’s called a-synchronous communication. Be more permissive. If untimely posts really bother you, go pound sand or something? Especially when people have busy lives outside of this forum you don’t know about.
I have a feeling if this was something in the games forum we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.
Tolkien was very clear in the Appendices to LotR that orcs have much bigger dicks than elves.
