Jurassic Park ?/= Bubonic Plague

Remember in Jurassic Park how they stripped the Dinosaurs ability to live beyond “lab conditions” by making them dependent on Lysine. The Lysine was provided to the Dino’s by the specialized plant life on the Island.

Well, imagine the exact same thing, but on a cellular level… and with Bubonic Plague:

(yes, I know it’s not exactly the same since it wasn’t a mutation, but the fascinating parallel is still there)

Dude…

The night is young…

Hemochromatosis is fairly common, not unlike positing Lysine producing plants could have been out there in the case of Jurassic Park.

Dr. Casadaban has no doubt saved countless lives (scientists & researchers) by reminding them to not overlook the obvious.
