I just got this, what an awesome value for $20!
I downloaded some free DLC like the skull parachute and bought it in game for $5,000. Do I have to re-buy it each time I play, or reload or something?
I also noticed that I lost the assault rifle weapon upgrade I bought. Sucks!

Sigh, yeah, fixed-wing aircraft are next to useless in the game. Helicopters all the way.

Dunno about parachutes, Sander, but weapons need to be repurchased once they run out of ammo.

A VTOL jet is the only thing that’s missing from the game now. I was actually hoping the chopper with what seemed to be two jet turbines was some sort of Airwolf hybrid, but alas no such luck.

'course, on the PC, Rico is a VTOL “jet”. :P

And also I can’t believe that Burnout Paradise is that huge. It takes less than five minutes to go from one corner of the map to the other corner. Granted, those are really fast cars, but still. If you look at the equivalent area in Just Cause 2, you can’t even cover that same area in Just Cause 2 in a plane in five minutes.

Burnout Paradise does some really strange things with scale. The race cars seem to be scaled about 30% larger than traffic cars, and the environment seems to be scaled 50% larger than even the race cars.

Certainly makes it easier to drive when everything’s so spacious.

Yeah I am tired, 3 hrs today trying to get all the story parts done, but I keep getting distracted in game, lol.

If I hit 50% I will be a happy camper and call this game complete.

I think I’m 24 hours in with maybe 15 percent complete, 1 agency mission done. I just keep running around and doing random shit. Then I stopped playing for the time being because Din’s Curse has taken over my soul.

How cracked is it?

My NHL 11 disc cracked on me in the center, but it was in a way that still left it able to read for…15-20 minutes at a time. Long enough to install, it turns out, and certainly long enough to verify the disc at launch so I can play.

Give that a shot before anything else, and if it doesn’t work, try contacting the publisher for a replacement copy. They might be willing to send you one cheap.

I had so much fun doing that, I was a little resentful that it was only 30 bridges. There’s a lot more than 30 bridges out there, so a part of me wished the achievement was for a higher bar. But then, most of the achievements for JC2 are like that: they don’t require you to find everything. The only exception I can think of right now is the one to drive one of every vehicle.
