Ubisoft has turned off online multiplayer and online services for 90 games.

Unlockable content (ULC) such as maps and skins will also be disabled, meaning that you will no longer be able to unlock them.On PC, ULC will no longer be available even if it has been redeemed previously. On console, the ULC will continue to be available unless you reset your saved game files.

“You can never again get these unlockables” is certainly one way to handle that. The wrong way to handle that.

I hope Ubisoft never does that for any recent games in the Anno series. But they probably will.

All I know is that this makes it harder for me to justify buying Ubisoft products. They could at least patch the games to make all ULC available to everyone, but no. They take them away from everyone. Not cool.
