Pocket Tactics just posted about this Kickstarter: Leige, a tactical RPG with moody, hand-drawn artwork. Looks pretty intriguing.
Taxi Journey is the first venture of Lexis Numérique (a French studio which has been around forever) on Kickstarter. It’s an adventure meets platformer game (they mention Braid, Limbo and Machinarium as “If you like that, you might like this” examples). But what really got my attention is the art style. And the music. The pitch video is worth a look.

Remember that mom that was shilling her 9-year daughter with that controversial “Send my 9 year old girl to make RPG so her mean older brothers can be proven wrong” Kickstarter? She’s back ghostwriting comments on Techcrunch for her daughter:
I’m 9 and making my first game, Truth & Trolls. Started out as an $829 Kickstarter project that blew up (raised $20K in 2 days) and now I LOVE knowing I can do anything. Michael Dell sent me signed Alienware, I was youngest entrepreneur at Dell’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Network Global Event in Istanbul earlier this month and now I’m heading to MIT’s Game Lab to work one-on-one with Philip, their creative director, on my game. What the world needs is more people like you (and Philip) willing to work with girls like me who are eager to do cool stuff but have no real role models and honestly don’t know where to start. My mom and I are hosting a coding camp for girls in their moms (using Codecademy) but we’re having a hard time getting girls and their moms to commit EVEN THOUGH IT’S FREE B/C my mom’s paying for it.
I’d love to work with you if you’re up for it. I know I’m young and don’t know much but I’ve learned that who you know and what you’re eager to do is really all that matters at my age. I don’t want to be rich and famous. I just want to do cool stuff that proves girls can change the world using technology and gaming!
I guess the Kickstarter money isn’t enough?

Is she asking for more money there?

Basically. Sucking up to the rich guy who started the gaming incubator that started OpenFeint and others. In a news story about him. Her mom also spammed twitter like crazy when she was besieged by outraged male gamers at the time of the Kickstarter.

Which kickstarter are you on about? Bones?. That thing appears to have a huge amount of minis!
…I did not think the SK story could get weirder, but there you go.
That mother is an annoying person.
Yes, that’s the one.
I have a vague intention of doing a similar series of photographs when it gets here, only better done. See that big box? I bought two of those. I was originally getting one plus a bunch of add-ons, but when time came to finalize it, I decided the value of the main set was so high that it made more sense to convert most of my pledge to a second box. I did order a Clockwork Dragon (poorly displayed upper left in the last photo in your link) because I liked the concept too much to pass it up.
I had no idea Kaladrax (the undead dragon) was that big! That was one of the less expensive ($10) large figures, too. Cheaper than the Clockwork Dragon ($15) despite being a lot larger. It doesn’t look much less complicated, either.
EDIT: Jesus christ. That figure is $75 from Reaper now. WyrmGear is $25. I wish I’d known the difference back then.

Maybe some of the folks that posted in the seperate thread which was created for this particular KS?
Just kidding (and pointing the thread out).
I … could be interested, but am still in wait-and-see-mode.

Another fighting game trying to get on PC. Should be much easier to play than Skullgirls. My only worry is SNK devs thinking they know something about netcode (it’s a long FG tradition that SNK netcode is horrible)
This one is looking a bit iffy right now- only about 23% funded after a week.
Backed that shit faster than I can say “extreme poverty from video game addiction”.
I saw the Yatagarasu campaign the morning it went up. Aside from the netcode concerns, I refuse to back it on the grounds that I’m not supporting any campaign using flexible funding.

New Kickstarter from Shenandoah Studio (the folks that put out the Battle of the Bulge wargame) for a Gettysburg wargame.
Lead Designer, Eric Lee Smith, has worked on many wargames for Victory Games and SPI including Ambush, Across Five Aprils, The Civil War, and The Alamo.
Historical footnote: the battle took place on July 1, 2, and 3 in 1863 so today is the 150th anniversary of the fight on Little Round Top.
Okay, THIS looks awesome:
Open-worldy seafaring piratey game. WANT.
Jeez, looks like a Minecraft expansion pack.
