Yay, Consortium edged over the $70k line for Extreme Zenlil Simulation before it ended. Happy right now!

To be honest, i think there is a pretty big chance consortium won’t be any good, but what they talked about sounded cool so i gave it a chance and pledge for it.

Well, for $10? I’ll risk it.

Also, their existing web-browser ARG is pretty fun.

Indeed, its $10 worth the risk of being awesome.

Really cute iOS/Android/Wii U platformer with what sounds like some innovative gameplay features: Buddy & Me

Backed it as it sounds fun, and has a real Ghibli-esque feel, so I think my son and I would both enjoy it.

I also backed Planet Explorers, which is an awesome-looking open-world colonization game: http://kck.st/Y3KWlj

Yay! Finally got my Pebble Watch. It’s super-cool.

Mine arrived earlier this week and I really like it.

I’m running a Star Trek TNG UI like watch face ( http://mypebblefaces.com/view?fID=192&aName=slayer1551&pageTitle=LCARS+v1&auID=1, amongst the many choices on http://mypebblefaces.com ) and the watch does a very good job of showing all my notifications. It’s nice not to miss texts anymore and to be able to check what came in without taking out my phone.

If you’re using Android, Augmented Smartwatch Pro is a must have app. It gives the Pebble a lot more features than the official app (even more if you’re a Tasker afficianado). It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but the developer is updating it all the time. Check out the free version if you want to try before you buy.

Robotech tactical miniatures game, bitches!

And I got the last of the cheaper priced sets! I totally call the Spartan destroid. You know the one. With the missiles. No, more missiles. Even more than that. Keep going! Yeah, about that much.

Oh, also, the first person to accurately but killjoyingly point out that the Robotech in my memory is about a thousand times cooler than the show was in reality gets a reflex cannon in the mouth! Or, as you Americans like to call it, a sausage in the mouth.

…I guess I’m pretty excited about Arrested Development, too.

I was happy to get one of the $70 early spots until they clarified later that only the $130/140 level will get the stretch rewards…so yay. I’ll probably end up swapping it for the $140 level eventually.

All I see are Warhammers, Riflemen, Marauders…

Seriously, looks like a cool kickstarter.

I love miniatures, but I’m not seeing a lot of variety in the unit mix there. I was never a Transformers fan, so having 3 figures for each unit to represent separate states seems like effort I’d rather see put into unit variety. I never got into Robotech proper, but I have enjoyed 'mech games that were probably inspired by it through the years. Cyberstorm in particular, though Front Mission 4 wasn’t bad either. I like the resource management / unit customization aspects of such games, and I can usually get past how silly the giant fighting robot thing is.

Allow me to be the killjoy and point out that it’s based on the Palladium Robotech RPG, so the rules are likely to be a horrible bloated mess.

My sentiments exactly, malkav.

Jagged Alliance: Flashback is now on Kickstarter. It’s run by Full control, the studio currently working on the Space Hulk game. They certainly seem to enjoy their turn based gameplay.

November 2014 planned release.

Wow. I’m fatigue by the number of turn base game coming out: Wasteland 2, Torment, Divinity Original Sins. I’m not sure I’m ready for JA even though I love JA back then.

A.N.N.E the metroidvania spaceship shooter.

This is not a phrase I expected to hear in 2013.

A good thing right? XCom proved the popularity of turn base and now everyone is jumping on the bandwagon!
