I was about to pledge but amounts are in £ and I have no idea how that works with my US card. At time of payment, do they convert £ to $ and charge me in US funds or do they charge my card in £ and have my cardholder do the conversion?

You should not let that stop you. I believe you will see an exchange rate charged by your card company, but more than likely for the amount you are going to pledge it will be pennies.

AR-K is in its final day. It’s a scifi point-n-click adventure for PC/Android/Mac/iOS (phew!), from a Spanish dev I’ve never heard of, with Greg Rucka and Ash “Tali” Sroka brought on board.

Also a shameless plug for a friend: Holdfastis an adventure gamebook from Black Chicken (Academagia, Scheherazade). They’ve already met their first two stretch goals.

Was this mentioned before? Agent Smart Watch… something like Pebble but from what I read, it is more advance!

Earthworm Jim and The Neverhood creator Doug TenNapel returns with all-new point-and-click adventure game using clay stop-motion animation, “Armikrog.”

Thanks for linking that. I enjoyed The Neverhood, and the demo reel looked good.

This has been backed! Not sure how successful though it will be, not sure The Neverhood carries the same name as Tim Schaefer did for his adventure game.

I have always loved the animation style of The Neverhood, so backed this one.

Interestingly, Kickstarter suggested TUG, which looks rather interesting. Quite the assortment of folks working on the game, including someone with the last name Wolfenstein.

Moby Dick, or the card game” is in its last 36 hours. Right now it seems that they might just miss or just make the level for little whale oil tokens. They will be adding custom dice to the game - I very much like the design. No one has yet splashed out the 10K for the whale boat.

All Quiet on The Martian Front looks interesting - 1910 warfare with miniatures depicting the battle between the UK and the Martians (tripods and all!). They are completely funded, with the usual bonus miniatures as they’ve hit milestones.

huge fan of the art and music in the Neverhood so I’m psyched for this.

Like a conference call to Jeff Minter where you go into detail about ruminates.

Surely that would be a waste of a conference call with Minter, given that he goes into detail about ruminates all the time. You’d want to talk to him about accounting or something.

Son of Nor is in its final day. Looks like an interesting desert-fantasy action-adventure.

Pixies! Limited Edition Hardcover book containing a visual history of the band on Kickstarter!

Sometime in 2011, we started posting some “vintage” photos on the Pixies’ Facebook page. The response was incredible! There were so many ‘Likes’ and comments and shares on Facebook, and several of the photos got picked up by various music news outlets. Which got me to thinking, wouldn’t it be COOL if we had a nice hardcover, coffee table sized book of all these rare, never-before seen photos, maybe with the story behind each photo, told by someone who was there? Wouldn’t it also be pretty cool if we reached out to some photographers who worked with the band in the 80s and 90s, and had them revisit their work, making it all available to the fans for the first time? How cool would it be to talk to the family members of the band, and include some of those truly awkward family photos everybody likes? I know I would buy that book, and I think a lot of other fans would

So in.

Expeditions: Conquistador has started distributing game keys. That makes it the second videogame Kickstarter after FTL (which was like, over half a year ago) of the dozens I’ve backed to do so.

Please let us know how it is.

This might have been posted before but Quintet, the Artemis-come-lately, is having a Kickstarter for an Android port. All of their different ports play together and I’ll be trying this next time I can get 4 nerds in the same room with me, but until then I have no early thoughts or review for you all.

Double Fine is back at it again. Massive Chalice, a fantasy turn-based tactical game.

Looks interesting enough to pledge at the lowest level (so far).

I’m cool with supporting Double Fine in their endeavors even though this particular game doesn’t sound too interesting. And hey, I’m willing to be proved wrong.

So its fantasy XCOM game, but more directly influenced by roguelikes to make every playthrough more unique. Sounds great.

TinyKeep ends in a couple of hours. Pledged, love his openness about the development process – the dungeon generation and AI algorithms look cool. Pledged for 30 to get the dev notes.
