Looks like it will easily be funded in a couple of days. Double Fine seems to have a guaranteed source of funding with Kickstarter with the speed of success their projects have.

I’m fatigue by so many games on KS already :P
I think let me play the ones I have funded first. Pass…

I’ve been trekking across this turn-based-strategy-desert for 20 years, surviving on withered shrubs and stagnant pools. Now I will gorge on a feast of turn based games of epic proportions. Nothing will slake my thirst. More. More. FPS fans bow before me, for this is my time.

That’s a damn good quote, Tony!!
I’ve seen a couple of reviews of the game already and they were all favorable. I haven’t had time to play it yet but word of mouth from others is that it is looking pretty good.
Hey kids, just pimping a spacey Kickstarter called Void Destroyer that lets you pilot a ship or command a fleet. The early version I’ve toyed with is pretty fun.
:)
It is really is hard NOT supporting every TBS game I see on kick starter after a long, long drought of my favorite type of game.
I think alit of these “projects” know that!
;)
Speaking of spacey stuff, Starlight Inception posted an official trailer showing off gameplay: http://youtu.be/9v7ISI3oMKc
Release is apparently not far off. I’m not sure what to think of this one. The video shows a clean, almost clinical graphics style without much character, and I really like atmosphere in my space games. The controls seem a little off, although they admit they’ve yet to polish that. This will live or die by how the combat feels, and it’s hard to get any sense of that from a video. Brian, have you had your mitts on this one yet?
I have not, krayzkrok. :/ I hope it’s good! It looks fun, warts and all.

Anyone else get a Kickstarter update for a game and think “oh, yeah, forgot all about supporting that!”
The only game KS I’ve supported that’s actually shipped so far was the Defense Grid expansion stuff. Though I am wearing my Pebble watch.
Yes Denny, forgot about several. I’ve backed 14 projects to date, 3 of which failed. Ironically the only one to be released so far was one of the failed projects! (Retrovirus)
The rest appear to be coming along nicely. Well, except Star Command (PC version) which is waaaay behind schedule although I expect it will make it eventually. It’s also the one with the most unhappy comments thread.

That looks really slick. Beta-backed it, which I don’t usually do…

What do you mean by failed? It’s fully funded and failed to deliver? That happens? Omigosh!

I would assume he meant that the KS campaign was unsuccessful, but the devs carried on and managed to release using another channel.
Yes, exactly that. I typed that post on my phone so didn’t feel like elaborating. I’ve been pretty satisfied with the progress of backed projects so far, their biggest failing being underestimating release dates which is understandable.

I supported Guardian Chronicles for more than I have any kickstarter! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iello/guardians-chronicles
It looks to be a great semi mission oriented Super hero boardgamae with rpg elements. The minis are a mix of nice to ok. I’m very excited, its slowly crawling up by I really want that 100K unlock with 2nd team of heroes! I even liked it on facebook, I really want all the extras for this one.
To be honest, his updates are making me uneasy about this. I want to know about the game, not how recently he learned coding ><
Fair enough, but you can play an alpha version to see if you like it or not right now. ;)
