Korgoth of Barbaria

Anyone else catch this on Adult Swim last night? It had it’s moments. Seems like something that should be in their Sunday lineup and not in the middle of their Saturday night anime fest though.

Yeah, I caught it this morning. I have to agree that it fits more running next to Venture Brothers.

All in all, I don’t think I totally enjoyed it. It definitely had its moments, but I don’t know if I’ll continue watching it, unless it really picks up.

I really liked it. But I’m a gorefiend.

I really didn’t find it that funny. Seems more like an indie comic turned cartoon that’s over the top for the sake of over the top.

Speaking of Venture Bros. and violence, I love it when Brock freaks out, eye vein twitching, and kills rooms full of people. One of my favorite shows is Venture Bros. Wish they had made more.

Venture Bros’s second season starts soon I think. Korgoth was ok, did anyone else notice that gennedy (director of samurai jack) was the animation director for Korgoth? The show was decent I hope it picks up too in the next episode.

Yeah, Venture Brothers season 2 premieres this month on the 30th, I think. The first season DVDs are out and well worth the purchase.

New VB episodes start on the 25th. Your time is now sooner than it was before!

Anyone have any facts on the status of the Korgoth show? I only found these 2 pieces of info:

[ol]
[li]Wiki: “As of Comic Con 2006 the show was scheduled to release sometime in spring of 2007. However, as of the June 15th, 2007 announcement of Adult Swim’s 2007 programming slate, Korgoth of Barbaria is not on the list of new shows.”

[li]Adult Swim’s linup site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programs_broadcast_by_Adult_Swim):
[/li]“Created by storyboard artist Aaron Springer. Executive produced by Genndy Tartakovsky. Premiered on Saturday, June 3rd 2006 at 12:30 a.m. EST. Two more storyboards were ordered, but the series was not greenlit.”
[/ol]

It got one episode. That is all.

Are they EVER making more Venture Brothers?

Yes. They are making 22 more of them.

You will have to wait until next year to see them.
