One thing that helped me with Fenrir was switching Alte to Peacemaker (the other thing was lucky clock procs on Bozel, hah. Also subbing the 3CD AoE skill on him instead of 2 5CDs)
I don’t run Atle on Fenrir. Listell, Jugler, Bernie, Lana, Bozel, Varna.
I went to do friendship summon this morning (3x r hero shards! that’s how you keep the memory shard store purchases rolling) and accidentally did an EQ summon.
I’ve been wanting a Throne Guardian, although it’s in the back of the line for things to improve (still. it’s got use on Estelle, a tankier Alte, Angelina, etc). That’s my third pair of spirit boots.
since getting back from vacation, I have 3 times tried a 65 JB only to have one of the 3 people basically just mailing it in. That means “here, I’ll deploy a 385 attack Leticia and a 320 int Alemda”. This doesn’t count the idiot who auto’d 65 Angelica and whose units ran off to kill the invincible harpy after the first wave, thus leaving myself and 2p to finish the rest of the map (spoiler: we failed).
1.41 million, into phase 3. Died at the first World Devourer, I was out of clocks.
I blew most of them trying to get around the 2nd post WD turn in phase 2. I couldn’t do it without losing Juggler - still my weakest link although I had him 2+2 with 50 Oath Guardin and King’s Amulet (borrowed from Ledin), a Last Rites, and a 40 Twilight Helm.
I used my last clock before realizing I could have saved Bernie on a turn, which would have changed other things and gotten me to Phase 3 with 5 people, with the debuff requirement count back to a mangeable 4.
All I’ve been able to do since this attempt: Upgradfe Last Rites to 30% (a bit more defense and hp), a few minor mastery stone upgrades, 1 level of Bond 4, and 4 or 5 levels of the Heart Bond. He’s 5k now, where he was 4.7k before the last attempt. That’s all I can do sadly (I found myself contemplating the Aniki gym pack so I could upgrade HellHounds to 8, but no I’m not spending 20 bucks for that). I am taking a bit of a break and then I’ll give it one more try.
Sadly, the 20 SR mastery boxes I picked up from the achievement aren’t helping anything. 4 Attack stones, no upgrades to Varna’s 14 attack on her weapon (I regret not holding one stone to stick on her helmet).
Yeah, I wouldn’t worry too much about hellhound levels (Mine are at 8 as well). They’ll get squashed every time you attack anyway. Did you get Jugler’s helmet though? It helps tremendously, since the self heal with the helmet activates before the hellhounds’ ability, so Jugler attacks->Hellhounds die->Jugler heals a bit, including troops->hellhounds ability activates.
Bern doesn’t get any healing ability like that, so I run Lava Titans on both Lana and Bern. Past a certain point Lana can’t attack the boss anymore, so she just exists to debuff via MDEF down and Lava Titans.
Also I’m running Steel on Jugler, which seems to help with his survivability, and he can share his Last Rites with Alte for Slepnir.
It’s my next joystick purchase but no I don’t have it. I never got around to the regular challenges which I keep meaning to try. There’s joysticks for at least one of the new event challenges, so hopefully I can get enough for it soon.
I have given him a red ribbon (<50% health, heal 20%), which I rolled a nice 10% hp 4% Ice enchant on. I could swap the helm/armor to steel but I can’t change the other gear, and after rolling that I can’t bear the thought on changing it :P
God I hate the regular enchanting system in this game.
Didn’t consider titans on Lana, I’m using her to DPS via AOE (I am running 3 aoes). I sometimes think about changing that. I’m loathe to part with Blackhole but I may run her Heaven + Blizzard (I run Bozel Black Hole + the 3 cd AoE). I don’t run mdef down since I use ligthning bolt to clean up wolf spawns at times. I run Bernie (who is holding up fairly well) and Listell with Titans. But you can stack that forever, so maybe I’ll try it on Lana.
A is where I am definitely maxxed out. The second even phase was too much. I lost Bozel somewhere and I am not sure where. And then I ran into the “trouble getting the debuffs” issue, because I couldn’t attack with Jugler and didn’t have Bozel for an emergency debuff application, just ran into all sorts of trouble. I got a little more damage in - enough to clinch A, but that was it.
Next time I’m here I might be able to threaten S. We’ll see how much I can improve the current squad in that time, given that there are priorities. Still, that was deeply satisfying (from like D to A in a cycle).
And then I rolled on the new Ledin/Alte/Rachel banner. Risky. 120 pulls, 2x Rachel Dupe (and one Varna but I’m 15 shards off 6* sadly). Luuuuuuucky.
New GoF schedule is 3x Liana, 3x Yulia, 3x Rachel until Rachel caps and then 4x Liana/3x Yulia/2x whomever.
That’s a big gamble, assuming you didn’t want extra Alte/Ledins! Still saving for the eventual collab units. Got around 80 tickets/21k crystals saved now.
Not building up Jugler in the near future?
Well, after Rachel. I couldn’t remember who was next.
Although Juggler did get a bunch of bond levelups today. I didn’t realize it until yesterday evening, but there’s 30 bursting heart keys for one of the event rewards.
I don’t think I have the stats for the last two challenges, which is mildly depressing.
One the one with the 3 anikis, my Landius takes a death after the first aoe and blocking the first Int Aniki attack. Even with Luna’s aura helping for the aoe. This makes me slightly sad. Gotta get his defense & HP up higher still, clearly (but I already knew that).
I haven’t tried the last two challenges yet, I heard on chatter that there’s some ATK or SKL literal stat check otherwise they get one shot? The other challenges (with the provided units) were pretty fun though.
Glad Slepnir is over, managed to eek out an A after a couple of attempts but I’ve no idea how the top rankers get 8 million+. Think my biggest issue is that between Olivier and Iris I don’t manage enough healing, Alte doesn’t get healed to full, Last Rites doesn’t trigger and he gets one shot. Having the weakest Leon around probably doesn’t help.
Each of the 3 Anikis is aligned with a stat: Attack, Skill, Int. They have a series of weird passives. Basically, if you do not have more of MainStat than they do, you can’t damage them. And IIRC there’s some other bonus they get in combat or something. The skill one isn’t super hard to pass, it’s like 130something (if you have a character built with attack bond, and have skill mastery runes slotted on weapon and accessory, you are probably fine). Attack and Int are higher, Attack I don’t remember but didn’t seem too bad. But Int was like 1100 I think, which means if you don’t have at least one strong mage the challenge is over right there.
Behind the 3 anikis are two weird supports. One casts map-aoe attacks every turn with debuffs you can’t dispell IIRC. It’s a problem. But the other guy has a soft stun where the character affected can still move but cannot attack. It’s the priority target, I think, because you might only have one character who can attack a given Aniki and having that disrupted is super obnoxious. And honestly the two supports have two huge hp piles anyway, so getting them killed is hard enough.
The second one looks like Leviar but it’s got it’s own mechanics. Including spawns that can ram you to death fog at the edge of the map. It gave me a headache to try because you need to move a lot in it (move again is super duper helpful in this fight sicne the first attacker gets a debuff that freezes everyone around them when their move ends).
So I forgot to try Slepnir. But that’s ok. My newly built Steel Alte is garbage anywya, and I don’t have good units for the fight. I totally forgot I needed to build up Olivier for this. Mine is not ready and even decent gear didn’t help.
Juggler is up over 5k though, with good bonds now (like 88%, with everything maxed but Attack and it’s got a few levels), although not great gear or enchants. The healers are progressing (with Iris getting some love now too). I’m out of runestones but next SSS clear gets me one. Probably to go to Iris’ last class (she has 3 masteries currently), and I’ll have to wait for next month to give two stones to whomever (Olivier maybe). I do still need a stone or two for Tiaris, I should check on that.
Man, the 50 burst keys from the event sure were nice. And all these other mats too.
Ah, thanks for the write up. Will try it once my Landius hits 6* tomorrow!
I don’t think you need to rune Olivier, don’t think you attack with him much. He’s too busy firing his AoE for utility, firing off his heal, and dying early. Just make sure you progress him in the tree that gives excitation and the defense heart bond. Tiaris is worth it I think just for the higher stat in her mage tree.
I do have him in the right tree for abilities -excitation and the bomb . But he seems kind of useful overall. Also stats never hurt.
But yeah Tiaris needs the stats a lot. Too bad I forgot to pull on the last G&L banner last fall and still have her Defense bond locked. There was aanother banner for them scheduled in Feb I think but it sort of feels like the whole schedule is out the door right now. I really need to get some gear upgrades on the two healers but everyone else seems to take priority.
At least I finally got a Goddess Robe for Yulia (after having fused like 5-8 of them lifetime, like everyone else I am sure). Also, got two Arcane Battle Garbs in the past few days and now I have 3 of those.

Ugh, Sleipnir was a mess. First one that I didn’t significantly improve from last time. I really need to spend some time on Olivier and working out the tanking side of that.
I dumped kind of a lot of crystals into the princess banner and didn’t end up with Tiaris, so April it is. I did get Luna to 5*, Clarett to 4*, and an off-banner Cherie (absolving my Original Langrisser Sin of missing her), but no god-auto-healer. Oh well, challenge!
I have also not tried the last two challenges yet. Probably over the next couple of days. I’ve been trying to ration burgers a bit, since getting the level up in time for Apex on Sunday after a cap raise takes something like 15-20.
Iris and Kloe are both runed and mastered, and Liana is runed. Not sure who I’m going to run as 4th healer for Apex in the short term; I’ve been using Imelda, but I hate building her further when she has no AB use and needs her lipstick to really shine. Sophia might make more sense.
Rewind is good for everyone!
Sleipnir and Jormungandr both are my worst ABs. It will be a bit before I get Atle sorted for Sleip tanking, and I need to work on not just Olivier but several other heros.
As for Jorm, I went from D to 50k shy of C. Buty it was a struggle. Juggler did ok - he really has gotten better - but I sort of tackled the fixed damage issue by ignoring it. I only have two med rings, Liff has one and she’s my main ranged (not that I got to Phase 2). But she’s not that great. Something like 670 paperdoll int; borderline pretty good. She could use runestones and bonds but she’s not a priority for the former and well bonds are being worked on all over. Still she did ok, and Luna was a stalwart. But I don’t have a particularly good third damage option. I tried Alustriel and she was pretty meh. I would be better using Narm, who is a bit stronger right now. I might be a little better off using Leonhardt honestly (he has 31 more pre-deploy attack). Although that leaves me unbalanced if I make phase 2, making phase 2 would be an upgrade over phase 1.
It helps that I also recognized that my Sophia has zero bonds. So she’ll be a bit stouter when I try again. Although ugh bond unlocks. I don’t have any burst keys now so I guess I won’t worry about that right away. She’ll have to get by on 2.5 full bonds from 1-3. Those + some slight gear/enchant adjustments did give me about 600 more hp.
If Sophia’s awakening skill arrives as datamined(?) (heal skill that adds regenerate + strengthen + -1 CD all skills on a 2CD) she should be pretty good for Apex. Well, better, guess she’s pretty good as is.
Also just realized I blew all my Saint INT stones on trying to get max rolls for Yulia, now I have nothing left for Sophia for Jorm. Doh.
