Language is Hard

Being of the Romance persuasion, I have to say that Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are pretty easy to learn, comparatively speaking. Having a good command of English prior to learning them, should really help, as well.

I guess pronunciation is the only obstacle of note.

I suppose this kinda fits with the OP’s request. I once met a guy who’s name meant “enlightened one”. Not in an old language, mind you, but in a modern one. So when he met people who spoke that language they would often intentionally mispronounce it since, to them, saying it was like giving him that title of distinction.

He told me his parents knew what it meant but did it anyway. Weird.
