Larry Gelbart dead at 81

Probably best known for being the creator of and main writer for the MASH TV series, though he had a long TV career.

He also wrote movies such as “Oh, God!”, “Tootsie,” and “Blame it on Rio” in the late 70s/early 80s.

So long, Larry! Say hi to George Burns at the pearly gates.

Tootsie is still taught in screenwriting classes and how-to books all the time.

That chick in Blame It on Rio was hot.

I always liked the first Oh God! And MASH is classic.

Later in his career he wrote some really decent political satires and farces for the stage. Good stuff.
