Yeah its the fourth, probably not a great night to play. I’m heading out to a cookout shortly with the family too.

I’m out tonight, well past 10. This summer has been busy, in June due to the kids’ end of the school year functions, and now in July for random (yet fun) Thursday night events.
We will survive this long pause and we will return to this game and you will rescue that demon monkey. I am absolutely sure about the first two parts of that statement.
Any chance we are on for tonight?
If we play I’ll actually need to set an alarm to remind myself! I look forward to when we can play though. I have a two monitor setup now and I’m looking forward to being able to see the Roll20 board and my character sheets at the same time lol.
I can’t play tonight, or next week (vacation). I am targeting August 1st as a restart date.
I’ll be out of town (up in you’re neck of the woods actually, Cape Cod!) on Aug 1st for my annual vacation with the kids. I’ll be back in time to play in the 8th though.
So warmachine Wednesday was bumped to Thursday this week. I spend way too much time painting tiny trolls riding tiny buffalo to skip it.
What does Friday night look like for people? I want to get my DCC fix sooner rather than later.

I know Arkon is traveling today, but I think he might be home by game time. I’m hoping we can get 4 players tonight and put the House of Ru to bed. I am on vacation next week, but after that we can get rolling again.
We left off with the party going up to the second floor where they have heard various scampering sounds. The current task is to kill the Master of the House of Ru in order to save Oloorin’s familiar, who is currently a captor of the Queen of Shears. One of the Queen’s subjects is accompanying the party and he can speak with Oloorin, so I can use their small talk to explore a little bit of the history of this place.
The House of Ru is a powerful wizard’s mansion. Clearly it is an enchanted place. Due to the strange way you had to find it (with Sylle’s stone), and the inexplicable close proximity to the village of Hirot, even though no one ever mentioned it before, it is probably a place lost in both time and space.
In the beginning it was a peaceful forest, filled with a peaceful elven people. Oloorin has a hard time understanding their version of elvish, perhaps because it is so old. Then a sorcerer arrived and built this house. This sorcerer was named Eldridge Ru, and he was powerful. He enslaved the elves and forced them to help build the mansion and to create an apple orchard using apple tree ents. Eldridge grew rich and he married and had a large family. Sylle was his youngest child.
Power corrupts, and DCC power corrupts absolutely. Eldridge went mad with power. He sealed his borders and transformed the elves into the mutant creatures you have met in the basement. He forced them to become underground dwellers, delving down into the caverns below his house, hunting for cave crickets and giant centipedes to feed Eldridge and his family. Eldridge created mummified servants to serve him and to transform the food into delicious looking dishes. And that is how things have been for a long, long time.
The Queen of Shears is the leader of the old elven race. She uses the shears to slice through the cave cricket shells in order to feed her people. She has grown sinister and calculating, while her people have grown simple and savage. She sees the party as a chance to kill Eldridge and be free of his curse.
I think that’s pretty much where we are. I’m looking forward to playing, hopefully tonight!

And here is to hoping my pc holds out. It was having major issues on Tuesday. I think the RAM is going bad.
8% into memtest and on test 3 and test 4 there are over 65,535 errors on both. I assume that is really bad.
