Had a lot of fun last night…go go forest walk! Humphrey really needs to get a bowling ball on a rope that he can roll down hallways. I wonder how the dwarves got across without triggering the false floor.

That is my big concern…hell Humphrey has an 18 luck and he is the one that fell into the false floor pit trap. I am not so sure we should be so trusting of these dwarves. But that is Humphrey talking…Oloorin isn’t exactly in a position to give advice on this.

We do need to get better at being prepared for dungeon delves. I got so used to 4th edition D&D where you didn’t worry about having torches, ten foot poles, twine, marbles, flour etc for traversing a dungeon safely.

I’ve put some time into my dungeon map this week. I’ve completed the layout and put in the dynamic lighting. It is a big freaking map. I am a little nervous that it might slow the game down, although I have no proof that will be the case. It is pretty cool to see it all set up. I am putting in a few trappings to really bring it to life, although the better trappings are stupidly expensive. I can’t see spending $4 for a handful of rubble markers and dirt marks. The creators of all these tokens should make the price point a dollar. My impulse buying reflex is a dollar.

I am a little nervous about the party’s survival. We could use a few more bodies. I wonder if we could get an old player to come back for a couple of sessions. They could play Snorri the 1st level dwarf, or his 4 zero level dwarf retainers, or both. Or if there is a lurker here in the thread that would like to try DCC and Roll20, this might be a good time to wave a hand. We play Thursdays, 9-11, Boston Hub of the Universe time.

I can’t decide if clerics in DCC are horribly broken, or if xahlt can’t roll above a 5.

It seems to be a mix of both. The clerics in the campaign I am running never cast spells as they rarely seem to be worth it and have about a 50% success rate on lay on hands. They have never had such a bat disapproval spiral as Penchus has had however.
