Works that way for me too, man.

I am just about at my breaking point for rage. Having to fight an AP Janna for CS in bottom lane when she is supposed to be babysitting, insta-lock Teemo against a team whose first picks are Kassadin and Fiddlesticks, face-checking Ashe at level 1… so bad.

I have seen ELO hell, and it is… 1685?!

Honesty time, ladies and gents: who knew Nidalee had a secret passive?

She gives less experienced [male?] champs 5 exp per 3 seconds when they’re near here. Because she’s a cougar. Rowr.

Someone at Riot has a good sense of humour. Zileas indicated Leona has one too.

Dude, I don’t know. All I know is that mxlm doesn’t rage at me, even when I do stupid things. And he tries to save me when I sacrifice myself so he can live, which is so sweet of him.

Maybe he has a crush on my voice? grins

I completely agree. Playing with a 5man Qt3 group was completely different from solo-queue or even dual-queue games. A lot more fun, too.

Do yourself a favor, man, and take a break for a couple of days. You’re not wrong, but you’ll feel better for it.

Derp I should also add I get Sheen after Wriggles and boots, and then Phage and then finish TriForce. Everything else is game dependent.

Where did I advocate BR over Wriggle’s? I ALWAYS go Wriggle’s first. I only got BR in ONE GAME, because I had a shit ton of kills and I wanted to see how it did alongside the rest of my build.

I’d say you can probably do Fiddlesticks, WW or Nunu at your level without full runes/masteries but its definitely something you’re gonna want to test on bots first. Nunu might actually be the safest of those 3 because with consume and smite he does a lot of damage to neutral creeps.

One nice thing about Leona is that all her skills are instant cast with no channeling times, so if you want a surprise attack you can go E into someone, hit Q and W at the same time to turn on your shield and stun them, and then keep on them for another two seconds after the stun wears off to get the shield explosion.

So far I think I’ve only broken even or had a negative K/D, but lots and lots of assists. Of course as the tank I will just stay in teamfights to try and keep other people alive by getting focused.

I have indeed been doing both Rylai’s and Frozen Mallet, and it seems to work pretty well for being a slowbot. When you hit the entire enemy team with her ult and Rylai’s it’s almost like having an AoE snare, they slow to such a crawl it’s hilarious.

For items I’ve been going: Philostone (she does crappy damage so she can’t farm around teammates without them getting it all) > Merc Treads > Phage > Giant’s belt into Rylai’s > Glacial Shroud > Frozen Mallet > Frozen Heart > Force of Nature.

Basically I buy everything that’s blue. At the end she’ll have over 3000 life and 250 of both armor and resist when she uses eclipse.

The trick to playing Kassadin is that you should never initiate. Like never ever. I know it’s oh so very tempting to do because of his burst and riftwalk but you shouldn’t.

What you should do is this. Someone initiates, enemy team blows initial cooldowns. Then and only then do you riftwalk in on top of their carry, silence them, blow your load over as much targets as possible and then Riftwalk out again as enemy cooldowns will come back up shortly after and yours will be down anyway. Repeat when they are back up.

Basically, playing Kassadin is to avoid CC at all costs at any time and the best way to do that is to avoid being in range to begin with. With Riftwalk, gap closing is at your discretion anyway.

I can’t agree with that more. Kassadin can harass and poke with the Sphere and Rift away while it travels, but he works best just after the fight has begun. Also, Kassadin forces you to learn the map’s walls really well since most of the time you want to rift through them. His ā€˜arrival circle’ doesn’t need to be able to completely be over a wall to rift through it either.

I’ve seen some ridiculously good Kassadin harass/initiation, what with charging up a 7+ Riftwalk with blue buff, Rifting in, popping his other skills, and then Flash’ing out back over a wall. Then the rest of their team charged in while we were slowed…

It sort of wrecked my team, because our Tristana got taken down to 1/3 health. :(

I don’t get Leona so far. In the (few) games I’ve been in where she was played, she seems little more than a stun bot with a bunch of hitpoints.

Though, building cdr/frozen mallet does sound interesting. I’d like to hear how that works.

I haven’t run the numbers – is it worth adding lots more slows with the multiplicative stacking, given that she already does so much slowing from her abilities? That seems like a lot of money for relatively little impact.

Only her ult slows. Her Q stuns, and her E snares briefly. W has not status effects.

Oh, I see. I had read that she had triple slows. I see I was misinformed, sorry about that.

Blue: do you regularly go wriggles, malady, wit’s end with Trinity later on Udyr? It feels powerful in the bot game I had, but of course this isn’t a good measure. Do you often or sometimes go quite a bit more tanky instead, and if so, when? I guess when your team is short on tanks? Or do you try to carry at all times?

Udyr seems really flexible, I am curious to hear the thinking behind various approaches… Because I have more time to read qt3 than to play :(

you should choose between malady or wit’s end, no need to get both, get trinity after that.

Both, in due course, is pretty funny though!

I guess I would grab the one with MR. With the armor in wriggles, lots of dodge runes, the MR from… Wit’s, you are going to be quite beefy through the mid-game and then I guess can make a choice as to whether more tank is required (skip TF for tank stuff) or more gank (get TF)???

Two proper games as Udyr - both lol. Fed Kat in the top lane two kills early on and from there she snowballed into the mega-carry she can be, with me a close second. In the second game Chequers tried Leona while Twitch and Vayne tried our patience by being suicidal. I still got best KDR and rocked many faces, although we lost.

In both games I managed Wriggles, Wits, TF and then had started on Malady when the game ended. In neither game did I not feel tanky enough (with armor and mr hovering at 100 or so) and a reasonable health pool. Very, very fun jungler!

I could probably learn a few tips on just how/when to cycle abilities. Links or vids/tips on pro Udyr players to watch for would be great.

Do people not build tank stuff on Udyr anymore? Used to be that the standard was to get Wriggles and then tank up and be an unkillable asshole. I haven’t played him in months.
