So how is Singed meant to work in lane? I get the impression that he sucks sharing a lane and that’s how it felt to me. I had a damn hard time getting any last hits - sure - I can fire off poison, but to poison an entire wave to death is very draining. If I last hit only, well, I’m standing around in their creeps hitting and being hit and harassed (I guess, I haven’t had much chance to solo lane). The builds are easy enough, just I have a hard time getting the farm to pull them off!

When they get to close, throw them a couple of times, that’ll scare em off if you can get them near tower.

The pro as heck guide to Master Yi. About ten times longer than it should be put pretty funny nonetheless.

Buy Annie if you don’t have her. Instant ELO!

Also, if you think you don’t need more than 3 rune pages, you don’t play many heroes. I have a page for Nidalee, Tanky DPS, AD Mana (Caitlin), Tanky AP (Amumu), and AP Runes (Annie, Swain).

I have 11 rune pages, and it isn’t enough.

~C~

I have 3 rune pages and so far don’t feel the need for any more. I think it depends on how much you want to run a gimmick page for certain characters.

Optimization, not gimmick. I currently use mp5/level runes on Garen, because my arpen page is for my junglers, (hey, I jungle once every fifty games, I need to be prepared) AD carries, and tanky deeps.

Thanks merryprankster, Lunarstorm, and Farnsworth for the replies!

Why on earth would you run your mana regen page for Garen instead of the one with armor pen and armor?

Garen is very mana intensive.

Because your enemy never sees it coming.

…Because the one with arpen and armor has mp5/level runes.

Is there a way to make early game for support, well… fun? I’ve always enjoyed the support role, maining a Cleric in DDO, but the first 15-20 minutes of every match as support in League seem to come down to babysitting a carry who doesn’t really need it, and porting back for a few gp/10 items, while letting him get the last hits to build into late game. Admittedly, stunning an opponent at the beginning of a huge team fight and watching him melt is satisfying, but I really feel like I’m missing out on something here.

For reference, I’ve been using Taric and Soraka.

Sure, go lane with a Garen instead.

You should lane Taric with Garen… with mxlm playing Garen. Laning with me at least taught him to play like a MADMAN, even if I still have to yell at him to dive like he means it.

And another game on EU with the metagame where people suck too fucking bad to actually use it.

Aha, it sounded like they were different pages. So the real question is why you are using mana regen… blues? for the characters that need them the least?

If you are using the current babysit meta, then no. On the flipside I’ve played the carry being babysat vs another carry and support babysitter and the whole early game is the most boring shit ever. I think that’s the real drawback to this meta thing.

Have any of the top teams tried running a super-strong double harass or stun/harass lane to try to prevent the enemy carry from getting CS, and putting a champ who can semi-carry and gank hard at mid?

Seems like LoL has had a defensive meta almost by default.

EU continuing to be full of scrubs.

Need them least? A tanky deeps that’s oom is a tanky deeps that’s 100% worthless. Unless it’s Renekton, I guess. Same goes for junglers.

I didn’t pay too much attention, but I’ve been told the US teams had exactly that attitude going into Dreamhack. After Dreamhack, they adopted the EU meta. Because they lost.
