Stun does a ton of fucking damage… wow. If you hit someone point blank you do 400+1.0AP at max rank.

I wouldn’t leave heal at Rank 1 though. It becomes positively efficient at rank 2 in regards to healing done per mana used.

Well, the heal hits rank 2 at level 6 if I’m maxing Shatter. :)

I can’t remember the last time I played a team stupid enough to dive Taric + Garen, but yes, what you say makes sense in that situation.

Just had a game in which I was a 13/2/9 Irelia, which would have seemed impressive if our Nocturne hadn’t been 22/7/8. We didn’t have a tank, but we had two nigh-unkillable Atmog’s platforms.

So Pantheon changes for next patch include…

-Spear Toss crits with Certain Death.
-Heartseeker is afaster channel, but lower damage and cooldown. More spamable.
-Mandrop has greatly reduced channel time.
-possibly other stuff.

Also, Leona is getting reduced mana costs and cooldown.

Damn, they’re really insistent on keeping her as a spambot. I guess now she doesn’t have to itemize as much CDR to be useful.

Other changes include executes no longer breaks kill streaks or count towards a death streak. And assists can count towards how much killing a champion is worth.

Garen is being buffed, Nasus is being buffed. I am in heaven.

Huh, Fiddlesticks is being nerfed. I totally missed him being overpowered since I don’t remember seeing him much lately.

Fiddle is way OP now that his ult channel is so short.

I didn’t care about his ult channel, but the damage just always feels ridiculous no matter what. I feel like he’s in a group of AP carries that are really strong (Brand and Annie being in that group too).

Is Ryze considered a strong AP carry, or is that just pub games being terrible (like last game, oman)?

Ryze is a bruiser who happens to be ranged and do magic damage. So, no, he’s not a strong AP carry.

Strongest AP carry is probably Orianna, if you can use her well, which low/mid elo people mostly can’t. Brand, Annie, Fiddle. After that? Whoever.

They really should revamp Heimer. Please? puppyface

What determines a carry, then? In the terms I’m familiar with, it would be the character that carries you to victory in the endgame, whom the supports are supporting. It would be the guy putting out the big DPS numbers. Miss Fortune, for example, or Tryndamere.

So in Ryze’s case, is it that he doesn’t have the crazy burst that Annie does (though his sustained DPS is astronomical, imo) or the utility of Orianna?

Cant believe you guys didnt even mention the new Taric skin.

Carries are basically people who do the bulk of the damage endgame. That’s further broken down into hard and soft carries. Annie would be a soft carry - she’s still strong and brings a lot to the team if she’s not super fed, but if she is fed, she’s a terror. A hard carry is a champion who’s more item dependent. For example gankplank doesn’t have a lot of damage to speak of if he has no farm, but if fed he just shreds everything. Tanky DPS generally don’t carry unless they are superfed, or you are playing 3’s, or they are champs with specific mechanics that let them get much more powerful lategame (i.e. Nasus’s Q skill). They live longer, so they don’t need to be protected, but they can’t drop the enemy DPS or support super fast like your own carries generally can.

Revamp what? He’s a pretty solid champ for a decent range of ELO.

I think heimer is decent enough. I think he has a higher skill cap than most, since you have to realize when your turrets go from being a pain to being trivial, and shift the focus of your play to your grenades and rockets.

I’m not sure people realize that getting two turrets ASAP isn’t the best way to play him.

Meki Pendant > ToG > Large Rod+Boots

W>Q>E for the skill order, leaving E at rank 1.

With max rank W and the farm that you should be getting from your turrets (and you) last hitting, getting that Large Rod… his W is actually a pretty ridiculous farming and harassing tool.
