…and then doing an “ipconfig -flushdns” in the command prompt and trying again may have fixed it. WTF is going on? LOL.

This really only works if you have a competent team to take advantage of it, but yes, a great Galio ult is a thing of beauty. I have fond memories of catching an entire team in my ult at Baron, acing them, stealing Baron and pushing to win.

So I tried Tryn again and… omg wtf bbq. He is HARD to play well. I got a lot of kills but I got a lot of deaths as well and frequently was of no use to anyone. I am going to have to work out how to click the mouse proper when I play him as he is damn subtle.

Skarner really is kind of weak. His jungling is pretty weak; he can finish the jungle, but he’s slow, drops to low hp, and gets counterjungled way too easy. His ganking is also kind of bad without his ulti, and he can’t get a kill unless the laner is packing some kind of CC or a lot of burst. His solo lane is also a bust, when he has no blink/dash, and all his real damage is melee range. And his damage is just low in the early-mid game.

On the other hand, he’s a scorpion.

The new Tryndamere is less pure RNG than the old, which makes him more fun to play as and play against. I think he’s a bit stronger than he was before, and now that people are actually learning to play him properly, he can be a real beast.

Now they need to boost master yi.

Why? He’s fine.

He doesn’t really hold up to any of the new tanky dps though. He’d be better if they changed Wuju Style to give him a stacking shred effect, or damage based on enemy max hp. He’s really good at killing Reckless Mages!™, but is otherwise pretty lackluster.

He’s a hard carry, he doesn’t have to hold up to a tanky DPS.

You don’t bring everyone up to the level of tanky fucking DPS. You nerf the tanky DPS, directly or indirectly (through items).

Christ.

I didn’t imply that he should get made into a tanky dps, I meant that he should be able to actually do something when he’s lined up against a team of nothing but tanky dps, other than try to steal kills early game and backdoor.

Of course tanky dps needs to be nerfed, that doesn’t mean everyone else has to be useless until they are.

He doesn’t really a buff but more of a remake to make him more useful, there is just way too many champions that can shut him down these days other than backdooring or hoping to get fed.

He can split push like a boss.

Teemo got nerfed because he could split push like a boss, also i don’t consider split pushing as a plus on a champion.

Bauce. Please use the appropriate spelling.

You guys are arguing some weird shit.

The ability to push and take down a tower is a positive trait for a champion.

Teemo’s pushing wasn’t nerfed, it was his escape mechanism that he used during pushing that was nerfed, and rightfully so. Except he can still get away just fine.

You can’t balance a champ based on the notion that you might be up against a team full of tanky DPS. Choosing good champions is part of the Draft mode of the game, Blind pick should have absolutely no bearing on the balance of champions.

I don’t mean to say the ability to push and take down towers is bad, but when it’s the only thing he can do most of the time then its a bad thing.

He can peel off a carry from an unorthodox position and get away.

Split pushing and backdooring aren’t very effective late game anyway, when there’s almost always an enemy close enough to defend the base. I agree that the whole game shouldn’t be balanced around tanky dps; it’s just that tanky dps is a significant part of the game right now, it has been for a while, and there are no signs that it’s going to change any time soon. Yi could at least do with some kind of change to make him less fail against 90% of current teams.

Mostly though, I think the problem is that in most cases where Yi would be good, Tryndamere or some other carry would be better.

Yi has an incredibly strong early game and can be very useful against certain teams. Yes, he’s not exactly tier 1 but then none of the assassins (glass cannon melee characters) are right now. The problem with Yi is that rejigging stuff could make him OP as fuck, because his skill set is ridiculously strong on paper.

Trynd is almost always a one-hit wonder. Yi stays powerful as long as someone dies.

I don’t know what you think the goal of pushing a tower is, but it guarantees that in the mid/late-game, the enemy team has to make a decision whenever they want to go push while Yi is taking down their shit.

The game also can’t be balanced against late game, either, since 95% of your time is spent early/mid.

Your problem is that you’re not building jungle atmogs Master Yi. Fuck your tanky DPS when my 3.4k HP, almost 2 attack per second and over 200 AD Master Yi comes barreling in.

I think my 3 favorite “WTF how fast is he?” champions are Master Yi, Udyr and Gangplank. I’ve actually had multiple games where someone asked me what my move speed was as Udyr.

In all seriousness though Master Yi is more in line with Katarina/Kassadin/LeBlanc than Jarvan/Irelia/Renekton. Although I think he actually brings more to a team than other assassins because he can farm, jungle and split push.

I disagree on pretty much all of your points. Master Yi and Udyr are amazing split pushers because they have ridiculous movement speed boosts (meaning they can get away unless you commit pretty much an entire team to stop them, at which point the other 4 people should be punishing your other lanes) and ridiculous attack speed boosts. Because they can farm fast without getting kills theres no reason in a 40+ minute game that they shouldn’t have 200-250+ CS and plenty of items, which in turn means they should be able to 3 or 4 shot a turret on their own. People don’t like split pushing/backdooring because it feels cheap or whatever, but in some situations its the only viable way to win a game.

Personally I would rather have Yi than Tryndamere. Tryn isn’t as good at farming creeps or pushing and thus relies more on kills to get going. Maybe its just because I’m bad but I’m wary of kill dependent champions. I don’t like heroes who can’t farm.
