We’ve won plenty of games by having someone run TP and split push a lane (bot) while 4 people hang around baron. Either they stop the split push and you take baron, or you outfarm/push them. It’s like so popular it’s been the EU meta since 2 months before dreamhack.
But split pushing and backdooring is very effective through midgame, and can leave you with a sizeable advantage going into late game.
And having an advantage in terms of farm, dragon kills, towers down, etc going into lategame is quite effective.

The U.S. is far behind. Our ELO is just now understanding that taking dragon during the midgame opens up a Baron rush from the other team.
I never meant to say that a split pusher doesn’t work. I run my favourite character (Nidalee) as a primary pusher. It’s just that when you’ve pushed into the enemy base, opportunities where you can actually push further are rare, unless your team is much more coordinated than theirs. It does give you an advantage, and forcing the enemy to play defensive during mid-late game is how I win most of my games with Nidalee. It just isn’t the most sound strategy outside of blind pick, where the enemy can take things like Teleport and Fortify in response. Even if it works a lot of the time, a champion should have more to them than just pushing strength.
Yi is more reliable to farm into success, but the snowball nature of Tryndamere just means that if he does get enough kills early game, then he can more or less secure victory for the team as long as he doesn’t do anything stupid. I’m not saying that Yi isn’t viable, or that he’s inherently worse than Trynd, it’s just that Tryndamere typically enjoys more success because he only needs a good early game to spiral out of control for the rest of the game.

Your problem is that you’re not building jungle atmogs Master Yi. Fuck your tanky DPS when my 3.4k HP, almost 2 attack per second and over 200 AD Master Yi comes barreling in.
3.4k hp, that’s like what? 5 hits from a tryn.
you don’t need a good early game any more. with jungle tryn as long as I don’t make dumb mistaken in jungle and even without gank or assist(I died on wraith camp once at lvl 1, because I took W for early 5vs5 gank, still dominate the game), I can potentially finish my IE by 20-25 minutes mark. I lead the cs on almost every game so far in the last 7 games with tryn. Tryn might not do insane 1400+ crit anymore, but with the new patch, it’s super easy for tryn to hit 95% crit chance PD + IE.
so far my item build didn’t change at all, vamp scepter -> berserk greave -> IE -> Last whisper -> PD, win… usually I don’t even get to the QSS.
You’ve been jungling Trynd? Your match history doesn’t look like it?

I know :)…
but every single game with tryn = jungling… ghost/smite.
I believe first two games I jungle with tryn I picked up madred, but then I realized I don’t need the proc really.
so just get a vamp scepter nowadays, tryn clear jungle insanely fast, plus self heal helps a lot. I never take the blue either, just give it to AP carry in mid or top.

Junglers will usually have like 50-80 neutral monster kills.
^ oh duh, didn’t spot the neut monster kill stats.
Been at home the past few mornings which means I’ve logged in to LOL to fiddle with runes and builds now and then. Man, trying to log in during US prime time is insane, it has been a 15+ minute wait each time. This must be very frustrating for you American time zone people!
It’s the day after patch day.
Why am I reading through the entire archives of the Journal of Justice?
And more importantly.
WHY ARE THEY BETTER WRITTEN THAN MOST MAGAZINES AND NEWSPAPERS?

A: yes, teams consisting entirely of tanky deeps can be successful. So can teams consisting entirely of squishy carries. When they are, it’s because they outplay their opponents, not because tanky deeps OP, needs nerf.
B: No, tanky deeps aren’t particularly OP. You’re misdiagnosing the problem. The problem is that tanky deeps are easier to play and more forgiving than ranged AD, and below a certain level of play (I’d guess 1600ish) ranged AD’s usefulness declines dramatically–and low/mid level team comp, as far as I can tell, does not take this into account. At 1000ish, don’t even fucking bring a ranged AD, whoever’s playing them will be terrible and if they are somehow magically not terrible, they won’t get the support they need to, y’know, not instantly explode.
If tanky deeps were so good, the standard team comp wouldn’t be the standard team comp. The issue is everybody takes their cue from high level play, even if they aren’t capable of the same sort of performance.

Yeah, I ran into one of those when I was Cait. I bought a Randiun’s. I pwned him.

Rearrange some keys on your keyboard into this configuration:
Now just HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEBRHUEHUE to lane victory.

I’m surprised there isn’t a tentacle champion, and no, Kassadin doesn’t count.
Pogp, what keyboard is that.
Where do you see tentacles on kassadin?
Kass is sort of bloopy. Tentacles bloop. So yeah, I can see it.
