No, the announcer is. I fucking loathe the HoN announcer, as he’s but a pale imitation of the UT guy. Demigod did that style right, the HoN guy is simply annoying. The random stutters in some of his lines don’t help, either.

Haha, you aren’t even counting the special HoN announcers, like the flamboyantly gay one who turns everything into sexual innuendo with an annoying lisp. You can turn the announcers off in options, though.

GAY JOKES ARE SO FUNNY!

Been trying Caitlyn. She’s grand and all, but man, I am not used to AD carries. I always seem to end up in the wrong place and spending half the battle running backwards - which clearly isn’t much use to anyone!

When I do Cloth Armor, I only buy one health potion, so I’m not wasting money on unnecessary health potions.

I’m not sure how I could be messing up my Q timings. I’m probably missing something obvious, but I’m not using Q when I’m already full up on health or when the Q benefit would be lost because the difference between current health and full health is less than the Q. I’m also not using it when it would do less than full damage to a jungle creep because the jungle creep is so low on health already that the excess Q damage is wasted.

It may be my rune- I’ve only acquired two basic sets - one for AD and one for AP. (I suppose it could also be that the last time I tried long sword was when I had five fewer runes or so, due to level).

For Warwick, I use Greater Mark of Desolation (Flat Armor Pen Reds), Greater Seal of Resilience (Flat Armor Yellows), Greater Glyph of Shielding (Scaling Magic Resist Blues), and Greater Quintessence of Fortitude (Flat Health Quints).

I have been thinking about buying another rune page and getting some more runes for different chars. (For AP characters, I use flat armor pen reds, scaling mana regen yellows, and flat cooldown reduction blues, along with health quints.) Frankly, I’m holding off because I’m not sure if I want to buy just one rune page for 6300 IP - I really don’t want to put another $20 into the game to buy the runepage pack.

I’ve moved from Ashe to trying Morgana. At first I went for massive AP with some boosts to health and mana, but I find that every recommended item only boosts armour and what happens is the second your ultimate appears (and you’ll be right in the middle of everything when it does) you will be hit by a ton of magic damage.

So now I’m trying a much tankier build, almost no focus on AP and lots and lots of armour and magic resistance where I spend my time setting up kills for others and tanking up front, which is where you need to be to get a stun in on someone who gets a little over adventurous.

I might try switching between the two depending on who is on my team, but it’s early days still.

Well, I just tried Heroes of Newerth. Man, I haaated it. The tutorial was lacking, the interface is confusing, and in my first match I died continuously while getting yelled at by my teammates, which has never happened in LoL.

Don’t get used to it.

Thanks for this tip, I’ve been bee-lining for deathfire and my Veiger and it’s been working wonders ( I also read this guide: http://leaguecraft.com/strategies/guide/715-veigar-this-is-not-a-short-joke.xhtml which offered similar advice).

I like the baleful strike mechanic as well as it gives me a clear purpose as a new player in the early game. I pling away on minions and score a lot of last hits with baleful to get my AP up, then get deathfire as soon as I can. I’m getting better at sniping enemy (still AI) players.

I’m still not exactly sure when it makes sense for me to kill creeps, I can solo most of the camps once I get my skills unlocked, but should I?

When I was newer to the game I tried Morgana and really couldn’t get my head around her. Then I was playing Brand on his free week and got absolutely destroyed by Morgana mid, so I gave her another go, and man, she rocks. I go for the RoA early for the health, mana and AP. Next, a zonyas for survivability (you can blow your cooldowns, then ult, then stasis yourself and the ult will continue to slow and stun people in range. From there a deathcap and an abyssal, if the game goes that long. I love how her pool just destroys creep waves effortlessly at rank 3 and beyond. Morg + Lux on the same team is just hilarious too, with double skillshot snares, and lots of nastiness to throw at people who are pinned down.

I would say it’s better to keep killing the lane monsters because they will give you more gold and also more last hits to get your AP up, but if you can’t because it’s not safe or nothing to kill then yes.

Also you should try getting the Blue buff as soon as you can.

You’ve been playing LoL for… what, less than a week? Don’t worry, it’ll come.

HoN definitely has a steep learning curve – being caught out of position is far more likely to be fatal in HoN than in League. Tutorials in both games are subpar.

EDIT: Morgana doesn’t do a lot of damage lategame, the build Nathan described is closer to what you’d want to aim for.

Epic server fail in the final minutes of the final game of IEM.
I haven’t watched every game but if I could the amount of crashes and freezes, something tell me Riot has to wait a bit with their new spectatormode.

welp

almost bought a deathcap at the end, no one bought so much as a banshee’s

Spin2Win

I don’t like morg as a support. To really do her job, she needs farm - otherwise, there are people that function better with low farm.

Yeah, it wasn’t my intent to not get farm. I’m bad at farming to begin with, and I was laning with Waynegrow (Garen), which makes it hard enough to farm already, and I went for some ballsy double kills early – we got them, but I usually needed to go heal afterwards so I spent a good bit of time early recalling to base. Spell vamp is all well and good, but not when it means pushing the lane up, and hers is weak early.

What’s the consensus on Wukong now? I kind of feel he’s underrated. I’ve had a lot of luck with him, a couple of perfect games with 0 deaths, some crazy high k/d games (28/7 one game), and generally tend to win a lot with him. I kind of hear “why would you play him when you could play irelia/xin etc.” Granted he doesn’t have the built in sustain but he does have a pretty good escape instead, and it can also be used offensively allowing you to stealth out of a bush. He also takes down structures at a Nasus like pace.

If you like playing him, then play him.

He is not a bad champion.

I think Wukong’s alright, I feel that he initiates teamfights better than Xin does, since his ult is more disruptive. That being said I don’t think he’s as lethal as the other two in a straight up fight, assuming equal levels of farm.
