There’s no need for crying, all they did was slightly reduce the duration of his knockup and slow. He’ll still be super OP early game.
What I think is really funny is that they significantly nerfed the damage on both of Jax’s main skills. A champ that has been considered nigh useless by the entire community if you’re not stomping on newbie skulls since I first started playing. Apparently some people found that if you bought 30 flat attack damage runes his level 3 harass damage was too scary.

You may have noticed that the current meta involves sending the bruiser top always forever. Guess who counters most bruisers pretty damn hard? Yeah, Jax. Given how many people play him when I solo–and how well they typically do–I’m going to go ahead and suggest that your estimates of both his worth and the community’s view of his worth are significantly off, and have been for some time and/or always.

If Jax hard counters the meta of sending the bruiser top, why is the solution to nerf Jax rather than allow the meta to evolve? When I’ve played Jax, AP carries with low cooldown CC (Ryze, AP TF and the like) have been the types that gave me trouble most frequently. Why don’t most teams run that top if they’re expecting Jax?
It would definitely be a welcome evolution.
Because Riot don’t want the Meta to “evolve” they want to influence it directly. Anything that goes against how they view the game should be played gets changed.
So you’re bad at laning against Jax, and instead of using him as an anti-meta agent they’re nerfing him so you can go back to rolfstomping with the most OP tanky dps you can find.

It maxes early, but sustains that level pretty much as long as you want it to, so it works out.
Except that if you ignore it for a few seconds, you have to start right back from the beginning again.
