Blue and Red refer to the runes that 2 jungle creeps guard. Blue gives you 25% CDR and huge mana regen (% of your max) and red buff causes your attacks to slow and do additional true damage.

You know…I did kill something with Malphite the other day that gave me a buff…it was towards the end of the match and things were kind of crazy so I didn’t think about it much at the time.

Poppy is tough to play well. She looks tanky with her armor and shield but she’s actually a squishy assassin type.

she isn’t squishy but she is an assassin though, she has an armor stacking buff, and her passive prevent people 1 shotting her.

her problem is she is very hard to farm creeps with, if you don’t get kill earlier on, it’s a struggle to catch up to mid to late game.

I’m not going to go on some sort of horrendous losing streak, because as soon as my elo drops to, say, 1400, I get to faceroll people who aren’t as good as I am. Bad luck only takes you so low for so long; Chiffy’s back up to 18/1900 after languishing at 15/16 for ages.

Though sure, it’s entirely possible 1527 or whatever is a little high, and my proper elo is in the high 1400s.

   		Maxle and me invites her for some three-s. err 3vs3...

Note that we’re going to answer 95% of your questions as if you were asking about the 5X5 game. The 3X3 game is not played as much.

They both are fun, but Blue and Red only exist (in that context) on the 5X5 map.

The 3X3 map has the Red buff as well, but different buffs from other jungle creeps.

Yeah, Walter makes an important point. Additionally, the game is balanced around 5v5 and Summoner’s Rift, which means certain characters, etc. may be stronger or weaker in 3v3 and on Twisted Treeline.

So far I’ve only played Summoner’s Rift, so it’s okay. Plus, I’m not really worried about being good, I’m just worried about completely not knowing things, or actively hurting my team.

FWIW, LoL is like Starcraft, in that you’re not actually competent until you’re, say, 1600 elo, maybe higher–and as Forge posted a few pages back, that’s maybe 1% of the playerbase. It’s just a question of being less bad than the guys you’re fighting.

For interest: got fed as Irelia in a game recently and for lulz went attack speed. Ended up at 2.0 and although it was fun I think pure damage or damage/crit items would have been more useful.

I am picking her over Jarvan and adore her. The best part is when your useless lanemate insists on auto-attacking creeps and you Q in and last hit every. single. one.

It makes me wonder how low my normal ELO is: in my last 20 matches I’ve never seen a dedicated jungler, and when I tried to, the one getting the solo lane fought 1vs2 and lost miserably.

I’ve seen plenty of dedicated junglers, but I’ve only seen one game where either my teammates or my opponents were clearly trying to last hit (versus autoattacking everything).

Tried Kayle again last night. Maybe she’s better, post-patch? She seemed better, but I don’t really have enough experience/data to say for sure (i.e., It just could have been a better game for me for any number of random reasons).

Definitely going to try to unlock Smurf warrior girl and Smurf gunner girl this weekend.
