Yeah, that one is pretty much the best.

Yeah, the nerf from stun to slow – and I think sundry other nerfs around then? – largely destroyed Evelynn. I wouldn’t be shocked if she could still destroy most people though. There isn’t really all that much of a gap between weak and strong champions. Remember, though, Evelynn was universally considered terrible before, too, until suddenly she started seeing competitive use and everyone started crying and she was nerfed. And there are countless cases where someone is “bad” because they’re easily countered but still stomp the average player because they don’t do what they need to to counter them. (I know most of the thread will hate me for bringing up HoN, but look at Blood Hunter. Bad champion! Easily countered by a 135g consumable! Still shitstomps all over the place against the average player.)

Still waiting on that long-term-stealth rework, Riot.

It’s funny because a dev said she could get her stun back after the stealth rework is put in.

I agree with mrcoffee. This game has so many moving parts it’s generally impossible to tell if a character is OP/UP. There’s too many outside influences, from items to runes to the other characters.

Of course every now and then you’ll get Jax but it’s not exactly common.

Wooo, I could finally afford Skarner! Looks like he’s not even in the champions list. Ha! In any case, I’m looking forward to getting back into the middle of the fight.

My current problem (with Tristana): Say that all 9 other players are going at it mid. I can’t figure out when to run in there. If I go too soon, I die immediately (especially thanks to Annie). If I hang back too long, I feel rude. Especially when my teammates die. Anyway, I guess that is something to work on.

You go in behind the tanks who is anyone with a lot of HP to soak up the damage instead of you. As an AD carry (like trist) your job is to keep firing forever, which means never dying. You just attack the enemy and if they’re going to get you, rocket jump backwards and kite them forever.

Yeah, playing an AD carry means playing selfish. You should never be the first one in, and if you are initiated on, you want to GTFO immediately. Ideally, your initiator goes in and catches someone dangerous out of position – a carry or a nuker, not one of their tanky fuckers – and you capitalize on that to unload all your shit and autoattack them. Generally for Tristana this will mean Explosive Shot and Rapid Fire. (Often you’ll want to save Rocket Jump for getting away unless you’re really, really sure you won’t need to before its CD is up again.) Focus fire their most dangerous squishies. If someone dangerous comes for you, run. If they keep chasing, keep running. If they turn around, great, you get to go pew pew at them some more.

Chequers, get damn Internet soon. I miss having a ranked buddy. Having no one to team with is rage-inducing. Save a (sad)panda, dual-queue today!

I’ve lost 12 straight ranked games!

Can I make it to 20 in a row?

The pinnacle was the 10th straight loss. BR Rammus afked for 15 minutes. Comes back and immediately starts suiciding. Then calls us all noobs and bad and refuses to surrender.

The more games I lose the more ragey people get, its almost funny!

And game 13 features a BR Twitch. I’m just trolling now. I literally don’t give a fuck.

Yeah those streaks are really brutal. :(

What does your BR acronym mean?

That’s not what happened. She was buffed, but no one cared, because she was Eve, and everyone knew Eve was awful. Then that Sorakabot guy posted about Revive/smite jungle Eve and, hey, wait a minute, he’s at the top of the ladder and that’s actually viable and not only is it viable it’s actually really good.

But if she hadn’t been buffed, that wouldn’t have been viable, and she wouldn’t have been subsequently nerfed.

Your job is to sit where it’s safe and shoot the best target you can hit from your position of safety. If that means you spend the whole fight shooting an ulting Alistar, you spend the whole fight shooting an ulting Alistar. This, incidentally, is why Last Whisper is good for ranged AD–you’re going to spend a lot of time shooting tanks–and why Black Cleaver is bad–you’re going to want to switch targets fairly frequently, and the ramp up time is annoying. As ranged AD in general you do not go in, ever. As Trist…well, if they’re running and you can use rocket jump to get kills and chase, okay, do that.

This is complicated by the fact that human opponents are going to want to kill your ass, and will likely have one or more champions capable of jumping to you through your team. These champions, if you sit and shoot at them, will probably kill you, so you’ll have to start learning to kite them.

If you’re only playing bot matches, be aware that bots usually target the player with the fewest hitpoints. Not lowest percentage of health, fewest hitpoints. So if you’re getting focused and dying, buy something that’ll give you health and be useful; a Banshee’s Veil or maybe a Frozen Mallet. It’s like running from a bear. Just have more health than the next guy.

Brazilian. They are the ‘Koreans’ of the early days of Starcraft.

No, the stereotype is backwards.

Korean starcraft players are ungodly monsters because they are unbeatable by westerners.

Brazilian LoLers are ungodly monsters because they fucking suck.

Unless they are playing Mordekaiser. And I meant Koreans before the nation went nuts for Starcraft they were the scapegoat for any loss.

Are you sure? I thought she came into favor with zero changes.

She was buffed in October 2010, the guide was linked on the boards in December, she was nerfed in January. In June she was nerfed hard enough that using her is, essentially, losing at champ select.

Huh. All right.

Welp, I bought Vayne. There goes all of my hoarded IP.

She’s pretty crazy. Much more fun to play than Ashe, must be sure to try her out when playing with mxlm. Maybe I can make him play Taric or Soraka for me? That will go incredibly well, I can guarantee it.

I am nothing if not an incredible support player.

Aww streak is over. I went to 13 then played Sona and went 4/0/10 and my team won.

GG.

I’m…sorry to hear you’re not losing more games?

Anway, just played as Ashe with the craziest fucking Janna in the world, against Corki/Jax (yeah, I dunno). She started fights with them at level 3 and then, after she died and they didn’t, said, “Oh, I forgot Ashe doesn’t do damage.” Died a lot, though she facilitated a fair number of kills for me. Still, I’m not okay with giving Ashe a kill if it means giving Jax a kill too, which was happening every exchange.

She also refused to buy wards. Ever. So I did that. Oh, and she liked farm and went pure AP, so I had to compete with her for creeps.

She went 2/6/19 while I went 9/3/7, and I’m honestly unsure who contributed more to the win. Bizarre.
