Horrible Oscar:

What’s a good character to learn jungling with, i.e. not too dependent on a full rune/mastery setup? I’m looking at what seems affordable IP-wise, and it seems like the choices (that I know are used for jungling) are Nunu, Amumu, Fiddlesticks, Tryn and Warwick. The tanks seem like solid choices, but I’m a little tempted by Tryn or Fiddle since counterjungling basically doesn’t exist at my level.

Warwick can go Small Golems/Wraiths/Wolves/Blue/Wraiths/Red by going Cloth Armor and some health potions. May not be as fast as other junglers, but it’s pretty safe and doable early on, even without help from your teammates.

It’s probably a good idea btw if you do wraiths as your second camp to save your Smite for the big wraith, even if that means not using it in the first camp.

Warwick can go Wraiths/Wolves/Blue for a quicker Blue… Or you can just start on Blue even without runes, if you get someone to pull, but it would be close and dangerous.

I smite first small golem, do wraiths with a potion, do wolves, smite blue. It works pretty well, only need one potion for the entire jungle.

I’d save my smite for the big wraith, but I like getting the first small golem down as quickly as possible when I’m at my lowest level without a second skill.

Yeah, it’s a sexualized game with respect to the female characters. I guess I just don’t care that much. I know I should care - I have a daughter, don’t want her objectified in life, etc., but I guess I’m just a male pig and I disconnect a game like this from reality.

On the other hand, I also don’t care if they put male figures in loin clothes with giant bulging pecs.

Though I do think it would be funny if they made games like this where the male characters had giant visible package bulges. I wonder how much of the male player base would just be annoyed/revolted.

I mostly object to its tastelessness and lack of artistic craft.

LeBlanc’s Prestigious skin is highly sexualized and sexy. Mulan-Barbie Irelia just makes me want to slap whoever gave her the breast implants and put her in a corset so tight she can’t breathe.

Really? I mean, her tits are the size of her head, taking up her entire chest area, and her waist is about as big around as her wrist. Oh, and her arms are spindly little sticks. She’s supposed to be at least a healthy, fit individual, even if she’s not built like Garen; in the original concept art, she looks like a barbie doll.

Her stance is ludicrous, as well; really, she’s throwing knives from a dance pose? And what’s with the long, painted fingernails?

The design of the weapons is better in the original (what’s she even doing with the sword in the new one? why are there daggers pointing at her head?) but I feel like the overall design is much, much better in the new one, with a much saner body, better pose, better flow, etc.

I never claimed the original was correctly proportioned, but the armor design is pretty awesome looking. The new armor looks like a cheap plastic halloween costume to me, and every time I look at the new picture I am even more weirded out by how the proportions are actually just-as or even-more horrifyingly wrong compared to the original, but because she doesn’t have oversized boobs no one notices. I mean actually look at that, her neck, thigh, and waist are all the same thickness while her arms shrink to pencils around the elbow and her palms are bigger than her face.

Kirian covered it but her weapons float around her controlled by psychic powers and she never actually touches anything. And I don’t know how you can call dramatically stepping forward a dance move while declaring squatting with jazz hands a better pose.

Now I actively loathe Irelia’s ingame art more than ever before. All it really has going for it is that it’s not a giant WTF like Lux’s original art.

I actually think the first splash is artistically superior to the current splash, so I’m not disagreeing with Lazy.

I think the major problem isn’t just that the chest is huge, it’s that the lines delineating their shape don’t make sense. I’m seeing now that the problem is that weird dreamcatcher-esque necklace she has on, with the black strings kinda falling down and creating an attachment point for her breasts that are way too high on her chest for how big the breasts are.

Kind of a shame really, I don’t mind the stylized nature of the rest of it, and I love the color palette.

Oh, I notice, but the proportions are, I think, worse in the original. The waist, the tits, the arms… bear in mind that her waist is narrower than the distance between her nipples. Nice anatomy design there!

If you’re dramatically stepping forward while throwing knives, you’d better maintain some semblance of balance while doing so by having your feet offset, or you’re going to be pushed over by the goddamn breeze.

In the second picture, except for the raised heels, her stance is pretty close to something like this, which is a hell of a lot less bad, jazz hands or no jazz hands.

Yeah, really. Also, two shades of lipstick, eyeshadow, and mascara. She’d fit in great with a ceremonial skanked-out honor “guard” for a third-world dictator, but as a fighting Champion not so much.

She’s not actually throwing knives, but lore-wise, even before the war, she was a capable martial artist and complete badass. After the war, she’s enough of a martial artist to be dodging thrown knives in complete darkness by feeling the ripples of the air.

Not exactly ceremonial.
