She’s gunna get nerfed soon.

Let’s see, Orianna…

She has decent base damage, high AP ratios, a slow/speed up, a shield and a knockback (knockup, however you want to call it. It’s the only CC in the game not effected by Tenacity). She has the ability to do all of this from the very back of the fight as the damage is centered on a movable ball and not on the character herself. Oh and did I mention she does all of this in an AoE?

She combines the damage of an AP burst caster with the utility of a support. There’s a reason she is banned in all competitive games.

The PC Gamer with the Cait skin is out in Walmarts early. I picked mine up this morning but haven’t had a chance to try her out due to the maintenance.

Orianna is very scary due to all of the things McKnight mentioned, but the key aspect is her range: 850. Thus she has the capability to substantially poke at her opponents from a huge distance.

If you wanna see how Orianna can devestate a team, just look for Orianna replays from Roku or Bigfatlp (Jiji).

Play with peacedog to see, he plays a mean Orianna.

/emo I have no friends in my time zone.

clagming posted a tutorial for new players: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUWRyQv6Glc&feature=channel_video_title

When I say “new players” I mean it covers everything up to level 2 in your first game and that’s it. McK, first post material?

Eh, I’m still coming along.

Team fighting with her is a whole new ballgame. There are often multiple places where a shield/green zone (your speed up/slow down, also it does fantastic AoE damage) are useful. And whatever you do, you can only do it where the ball is. The good news is that where goes the ball goes the deeps (but don;t underestimate her auto attacks; she get s ashitload of bonus magic damage based on AP, making her a deceptively solid jabber, if a slow one).

Knowing where your ball is at all times is a whole new thing. Knowing where it needs to be next is an entirely new thing on top of that.

She’s slow as Christmas (utility speed + MS quints + boots 2 = 398 speed), which she should be because she’s got the best interdiction in the game.

Highs: saving someone from a tower dive or ambush with an E/W combo. The exceptional burst damage. The deceptively good CC. The ability to put your balls on other people.

Lows: Farm well. Get RoA. Get Deathcap. See fight boiling mid. See enemy team cluster. Pop Ult, snag 4 characters. Pop W. See 50% of the combined health of those 4 characters disappear because the idiots decided they didn’t need MR. What your four fucking pubbies fail to do anything whatsoever. Lose fight. Lose game. Die a little bit more, inside.

Ok…

Don’t act like this isn’t something you think about all the time.

I don’t think Orianna is going to get nerfed any time soon, because it’s clear to everyone Xin still needs work.

Looks good, added it now. Thanks for the heads up.

Poppy and Garen have just had their IP costs reduced to 450 and 1350 respectively.

I am really liking this trend of older champs having their IP costs lowered!

I’d like to see them reduce some more 6300 champs, but Garen is an excellent choice in any case. It was always a little weird to have a 3k character in the tutorial, and when I introduced the game to a couple of friends the first thing they vowed to do was unlock Garen.

More fun:

And Therlun said he didn’t want red buff.

Stack Tiamats, win games.

I always get called a noob when I build Tiamat, but I love it on champs like Pantheon that aren’t spectacular pushers and need a little mana boost but not so much that they need a manamune or philostone.

Don’t buy Tiamat. You’re overpaying for a shitty splash that’s way smaller than you think it is. There are better options if you must have mana regen.

Buy a philosopher’s stone and then an item that’s actually good. Or get runes. Or buy a meki and don’t do anything with it. Pantheon in particular, you really don’t want a tiamat, as it only procs off your autoattacks, and your abilities are doing much or most of your damage.

But if you made a philo, your GP5 would end up getting you positive goldflow by the end of the game, and you’d have the mana regen.

So instead of paying a ton of gold for a shitty item, you get your mana regen AND gold.

Gave this one a try.

This is really a fun game.

Need a little more practice though.
