So i decided to play a normal game, and i see our Ashe going mid with doran’s blade and i think to myself “she is going to feed that katarina”.

And it happened!

This is what happens when a winning team doesn’t know how to push. If you don’t press an advantage, the other team has a chance to catch up on levels and farm and your advantage evaporates.

I’ve been on both sides of this so many times. It’s aggravating when I’m on the non pushing team as I can see it happening. It’s also sort of why one of my repeated phrases seems to be “push to win.”

I agree in part. I do think that most deaths pass without comment. I also do think that there are plenty of situations that are commented on that really are players being stupid. One of my recent games, we had an Udyr who kept trying to counter-jungle/steal buffs from the opponents’ jungle. They clearly had wards up, and again and again they would converge on his soloing ass and slaughter him.

How many times does that have to happen until it goes from being good play by the party getting the kill to, “Stop running around unsupported and getting picked off,” on the part of the player getting killed?

What I see more often is blame for losing the game. I see plenty of games go by where people don’t comment on each death being lucky, stupid, etc. But I see few games go by where, when a team is losing, at least one or two players don’t start up with the, “<All>gg we lost cuz Udyr is noob<All>,” followed by the inevitable back and forth recriminations.

I just started playing Oriana too. I started in duo lane just to get the hang of her skills. Not sure if jumping to mid right away would go well.

Caitlyns Q is not that hard to dodge if you juke a lot. You mainly have to be careful that you don’t get hit by her charged up autoattack cause that hurts. I guess with Orianna it’s not a bad idea to just sit back and farm for a bit. Even though her autoattack is decent, you don’t want to be trading blows with Cait.

I had a victory with 30 kills down couple of nights ago. It was particularly satisfying because the “noob” comments were non stop from the other team during the game. We even had a failed surrender vote. But my Mordekeiser eventually caught up in farm and became unstoppable. Finished with 26 kills on him.

The Q hurts more i think, but easily dodgeable if you are paying attention.

That’s why you should always get boots.

They won that final because Rez’s Kog Maw was completely stupid. Support GP was kind of crippling them.

Riven looks boring.

God, why is it always the join & lock who complains about team composition?

Because obviously you didn’t think about the team and build around him.

I usually dodge these games in normal mode. (It’s a loss and Elo hit in ranked.) No interest in playing with those people, and how much of a team player are they likely to be if they act this selfish in champion select?

If someone is complaining I usually try to make them dodge or suffer with the team comp they hate so much, but yours is probably the saner option.

The only games I’ve played with other people have been Normal, solo-queue games. Not only do I not have the knowledge to make team composition a consideration, but I only have the free champions to choose from. I’m not sure what I should be doing other than choosing who I’m most comfortable with before somebody else does (which would force me to play somebody I don’t know the first thing about, inevitably feeding).

We are all talking from a lvl 30 perspective rossm, it’s completely different at low levels.

rossm, picking the champion you’re most comfortable with is exactly what you should be doing, and let the nay-sayers bite their tongue.

Unless you’re most comfortable with Evelynn. In which case, pick a different champ.

:D

If it helps, that sort of thing is significantly less common as you move up the ranks, as are come-backs in general.

So Season 1 Ends tomorrow. Graduated Elo reset with most people getting placed between 1100 and 1300. Some will be place as low as 906 and others as high as 1490.

So I’m guessing my Elo will probably drop :/

I’ve been level 30 for eons, it happens all the time.

This week: Amumu, Annie, Caitlyn, Gangplank, Karma, Nocturne, Nunu, Singed, Sivir, Talon.

Quite a few 6300 champions I wanted to try, but I’m afraid I’ll actually end up liking them and they’re so expensive . . .
