Memorize that shit by repeating each one in sequence in your head.
I don’t like rushing a TriForce. Pick AD or AP.
AD:
Armor Pen, choice yellows (flat armor I like), MR/lvl blues or CDR blues
ArPen quints
Dorans Blade
Boots+pots
another Dorans if you want to keep farming, or Zeal or BF sword if you can afford it
keep farming, upgrade BF sword or Zeal, or buy BF sword if you still dont’ have one. if you don’t, you probably lost your lane if your enemy is good
I’d usually build a BF into a Bloodthirster, combo that with Zeal>Phantom Dancer’s attack and move speed and you’re a deadly AD champ in general.
Your strength is really Pick a Card for the stun, and of course your ult. Q and E are sort of relegated to being almost useless, but I’d max W>Q>E because Q will still hurt other carries.
On any AD carry I pretty much go 21/0/9, with that 1 point in mana regen.
AP:
MagPen, choice yellows, CDR blues
MPen quints
Doran’s ring
Boots+hpots
Sheen
boots upgrade at some point to Ionian (CDR)
Needlessly Large Rod or Blasting Wand> Deathcap ASAP
Get blue buff
Lich Bane eventually
If you’ve got 1600g or close to it, forget the Sheen and go large rod
Q>W>E, you use your Blue Card to regenerate mana, usually on a last-hit creep of course. Your Q is your damage and pushing ability… clear whole waves with that and Red Card. Don’t forget to use Blue Card or Red Card on their towers, it does damage.
Masteries are typical 9/0/21 with the magic pen, and of course Flash+Ignite great for any AP/AD carry build if you want to secure those kills.
You of course still want to use Yellow Card for most situations. The stun is the most powerful thing he has in terms of winning the game… after his still awesome ult.
Sword of the Divine is crap. There’s no “mesh,” no “synergy” just because of what his E does. His E is magic damage and the fact that SotD works in a similar fashion, it doesn’t really mean anything. Hell, Malady would be the better choice if someone were going to actually care about E’s damage (definitely an AP/hybrid build).
He’s a high skill cap champ that is… somewhat rewarding when he works out. Knowing when he can finish someone off, and when it’s wise to do so, via use of his ult is really important. His ult is also somewhat low cooldown so you can sometimes use it to just reveal the enemy team when the situation may call for it, and in some cases you can find someone out of position and take them out before their team can respond.
