I played one game of Dominion and yeah I gotta say it’s pretty mindless. I can see metagames being built around it pretty quickly though. I decided to play Akali and in a situation like that where there are so many chasing situations she can run down anyone.

Dragonpup’s Pantheon choice was also supreme, I can see Panth finding a comfortable home in Dominion.

Seems like his and TFS ults get a lot better on this map. Also, Caitlin’s R might gain utility as well. She won’t benefit as much from the bushes as Nidalee over all, but she benefits.

I predict dominion to get sidelaned just like 3vs3…

the whole start you at higher level + lack of any type of lane already unbalance the game. I probably play it once just like 3vs3 then go back to 5vs5.

I played one game of Dominion as Udyr and had no idea what was going on. Was fun, though. I guess you can’t cap while the tower is shooting you?

The tower only shoots you if there is an enemy champion there, so yeah.

Anyone notice the Achievements tab in the profile page? What’s that about? I could see myself totally getting hooked to achievement whoring in LOL if they ever add it. Although there’s a slight worry that it might negatively impact the game depending on the type of achievements.

That they did

I am rusty with Panth, but he was tons of fun in Dominion. It seems like champs who are good at 1v1 fights, and can move quickly prosper in Dominion.

I played two games at lunch today, and the pace of the game was too fast for my tastes. I don’t like running 100mph the entire game. I like slow periods of game play along with the chaos.

I suspect I’ll play it when I don’t have enough time for an SR game, but my admittedly brief experience did not unseat SR for me.

So I just went 0/9/0 in my first post-dominion game. ugh. To be fair, i was stuck mid as brand vs a very good kassadin, which is a horrible match up. But our jungler had a bad game too, Singed top lost to Master Yi, and bottom berated everyone for feeding at any death. Bottom then afk’d the last 15 minutes when we wouldn’t surrender at 20, and singed a good part of it too, so it was me and nocturne vs five. I imagine I get reported for feeding.

Did I mention that this was ranked? Oy. And the Noc WAS on my friends list, but I booted them for anti ethnic/sexual preference hate speech. What a horrible game.

You should be able to use your W on Kassadin and make him pay for every time he moves toward you to use his Q.

He would riftwalk, silence and slow me and i’d be able to only get one spell in before the silence most of the time.

Which means he’s no longer riftwalking to escape, you have to be able to hit that counter harass with W, or predict his riftwalk and W in advance when you see him making an aggressive move.

It’s not easy though, not tryign to sound like you should have won the lane easily or anything.
