Yeah, just played Dominion again. I definitely don’t like it. One good assassin can completely dominate the board.

use teamwork, win.

At this point Dominion is too new, but it seems to me that late-game hypercarries like Yi and Akali can dominate the map.

It’s a very quick transition from early game champs to late game champs, so thoroughly winning in early game doesn’t really mean much unless you’re a champ that keeps dying and being useless.

It also seems that people are forgetting to build resistance counters to the enemy. You have so little time to make shopping decisions that I think people are rushing straight damage without considering how a powerful enemy champ is decimating the team single-handedly.

I think I’m just burned out on LoL. I haven’t had an enjoyable game all day. I just plain quit a game in the middle for the first time ever.

I’ll play with you tonight Eye Drizz. After I get in a few levels of DudeBros of War 3.

I’m gonna do some ranked tonight, probably… so yeah. no

Played a couple of games of Dominon and it was a lot of fun in a very different way than SR is. Cool stuff. Good point about shopping decisions. Especially in my fist game I was so busy trying to figure out what was happening that I just started double clicking the recommended items. I wish they’d let you customize those. Not that I always buy the same thing but it would be nice to have the quick links I wanted.

I think its just horrible, I see where they were going, but the char are kinda balanced for reg PVP, here its just no fun at all. Some char are going to be god and some almost useless.

I’ve only tried a couple rounds but seemed a lot less like strategic capture and hold as I was imagining and more just mad team rushing for ganks.

Again, it’s too early for an effective metagame to have emerged. It took like a year for Summoner’s Rift to have the double solo + jungle strategy. A foolproof strategy for winning Dominion will emerge, and then a counter-strategy will come after that.

Yep, have to allow time for the Yomi. I played like 19 games of it today, some on EU, some on NA. I love it. I see a lot of people crying on the boards about certain things being overpowered. I think a few champs are, but not broad archetypes like some people are saying. Jax clearly needs to be tweaked or disabled, for example.

You need to hop on mumble. We were all having a hoot that game.

I played a little Dominion with Lazy, one game apiece as Shen and Amumu. I don’t have a great feel for strategy yet but it’s pretty fun. I played better as Shen, after a rough start, but did better as Amumu because I could do more work of my own. Shen’s global ult is great for it.

I haven’t had a chance to play Dominion yet; so what in particular makes Jax problematic in Dominion? Is it the accelerated start bypassing a typically weak point in Jax’s game? Is it that smaller scale fights are more common? Jax has always been a strong duelist, but I haven’t seen as many complaints about other strong 1v1 champs. Jax scales very well with farm, but so do a handful of other hyper carries like Trynd and Yi.

I’m sticking with Akali.

Though Swain is very useful as well, you get a lot more situations where his Q is effective at keeping a melee attacker slowed, due to the circular nature of the map. In Summoner’s Rift the map is push/pull in only two directions.

Trynd and Yi are also beasts, and akali can get pretty crazy.

I don’t know why people would complain about Jax really. I didn’t see anyone else play him in the ten games or so I played today. It does bypass the 20 minutes of sucking early game for people like him, but the person that really counts for is Tryndamere. What’s that, you don’t have to farm and have your ult a few minutes into the game? Well yes, I would like to skip to the part of the game where Trynd becomes OP!

Oh yeah, Dominion is so hilariously fun that I don’t know why I would ever want to play Summoner’s Rift ever again. There’s not even time for people to be ragey douchebags in Dominion!

I have Jax, Trynd, and Yi.

Now I bought all of those with cash money, and I’m only about to reach level 20 some time this year if work continues to be so busy, but Jax so far has been way easier to play than the other two. He’s just much harder to kill. A slow on Trynd or Yi and I’m almost guaranteed to be toast. Jax dodges enough and has his AOE stun.

Cho went well, I think you need tank runes and then rush RoA. Then Sorc boots and whatever other AP you want. You can’t 1v1 very well but you take forever to die so a teammate will notice and come to save you. In teamfights everyone seems to bunch up so aoes are great.

Disagree with the last part. My first and so far only game 3 of us told our team at champ select it was our first time. We get in game and a Rammus player on our team starts giving out orders. And when 3 of us don’t immediately go for the top most point he starts raging at us.
